The Elms-sponsored by Ghost Tours of KC

This investigation was part of a several groups of paranormal investigator sponsored by Ghost Tours of Kansas City

We checked in to room 254 and then went to a conference room to meet others here for the over night stay at the Elm's Hotel and Spa.

Ghost Tours gave a wonderful presentation on the history of the Elms and tour. Some of the haunting reported are:

The spirit of an aged Indian chief has supposedly been spotted on several occasions gazing at folks in an Excelsior Springs residence through a peephole. The phantom of an old cleaning lady may from time to time be noticed burying a body by a large rock in Siloam Park very late at night. A local resident claims that this spirit is the deceased spirit of a long dead Excelsior Springs local person.

The ghost of a young lady clad as a house keeper has regularly been made out taking pleasure in the panorama at Hedges Lake Dam in the early morning hours before sunrise. No matter what, this phantom unquestionably is menacing; one that you wouldn't wish to come across at the stroke of midnight.

After the presentation Dayna, another investigator (KCPI) and myself, ducked out of the presentation and began our own investigation, which lasted until 3am. Personal Experiences at the Elms

The first experience I had at the elm was in room 254, Dayna (KCPI) and I were talking about how we were going to conduct our investigation and I felt a tug on my pocket of my jeans, a tug like hey are you listening tome like a child would tug on a parent to get their attention, however we did not get any EVPS.

The second experience I had was in the Library Lounge, Dayna (KCPI) and I decided to check it out so when we enter the room it was lowly lit and a few people were sitting and drinking….we sat at the end of the bar, all at once the

sense of over whelming sadness engulf me, it was so strong, that as I was talking to Dayna I began to cry and tell her I am not sure what is wrong with me and why I was crying…..we were just sitting there talking and whoosh it hit

me…..the all at once it faded the feeling of sadness, I felt a cold shiver and it was gone…..I have never experienced anything such as I did in the library Lounge.

In room 140 as I was laying on the bed on my back, I felt my hand all the way up to my elbow go cold and when I tried to lift my arm that was cold from the bed I

could not lift my arm….that kind of freaked me out so I got off the bed and went into the other room which was a sitting room, where I felt very uneasy and like I was being watched. We got some very good EVP’s in that room.

Another experience we had was riding the elevator up and down between the floors; we caught the following EVP’s “Come in now”. I was counting the floors as we went up and I said two and then a female voice whispers “Four Five Six”

there are only 4 floors. Another is a child’s voice saying almost like an echo in the background…”going upstairs now” as if calling down to his mother.

In the grand ball room we picked up the following EVP’s we were trying to

debunk the theory that people see chandelier swaying and we were discuss it how the sound could travel possible to the beam and the EVP we caught said, “Up the Beam” over the top of our conversation.

We caught many EVP’s in the hallways on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th floor.
