    Abstract:Physicalactivity(PA)isknowntobeoneofriskfactorsofdevelopmentofchronicdisease.Methods:721studentsand

    workersofMoscowStateUniversityofMedicineandDentistry(MSUMD)weretestedtodetecttheirusualphysicalactivity(PA).

    Results:PAinwomenwaslowertheninmen;PAofworkerswashighertheninstudents.Conclusion:Femalestudentsmighthavethe

    higherriskofnoncommunicablediseasesinfutureduetotheirlowPA.SpecialprogramsneedtobedevelopingtoincreasePAof

    youngwomeninMSUMD.

    1.Introduction

    Noncommunicablediseases(NCDs)areleadingin

    threatofhumanhealthanddevelopment.Thereisthe growingupspreadofNCDsallovertheworld.Upto 80%NCDscouldbepreventedbyeliminatingofrisk factors,mainlyphysicalinactivity,unhealthydiet, tobaccouseandtheharmfuluseofalcoho1.Thatiswhy WorldHealthOrganization(WHO)determinates monitoringandsurveillanceofriskfactorsasthemain componentforNCDsprevention[1-2].This

    monitoringhastoberepresentative,up-todateand

    costeffective2].

    Questionnairefortestingoneoftheriskfactors, usualphysicalactivity(PA),iswell-knownanditis calledtheInternationalPhysicalActivity Questionnaires(IPAQ).IPAQistoprovideasetof welldevelopedinstrumentsthatcanbeused

    nationalandregionalsurveillancesystemsandthelong versionprovidemoredetailedinformationoften requiredinresearchworkorforevaluationpurposes [35].EarlywepublishedRussianversionofIPAQ[6]. Thepurposeofthisinvestigationwastofindpossible gender-andage.baseddifferencesinPA.

    questionsaboutusualPA.Variantsofpossibleanswers arefixed,forautomaticanalysiseachvariantofanswer hasitsequalinmarks.Thesumofmarksusedto receivepreliminaryresults(seebelow).

    InternetversionofIPAQwasfreeforapplicationin theintranetofsiteofMSUMD.Usershadmultiple choicesforallquestions.Fordetailedanalysisof resultsweaddquestionsaboutsex(male,female)and position(student,worker)intheuniversity.Fillingof questionnairewasfreeforintranetusinganddoesnot

    containanyotherpersonalinformation.Theworkis approvedbylocalethiccommitteeofMSUMD. 82

    2.2Peopleinstudy

    GenderandAgeDifferencesofPhysicalActivityofStudentsandWorkers

    ofMoscowStateUniversityofMedicineandDentistry TheworkwassupportedbygrantofPresidentRF MD1559-2010.7.

    After2monthsofintranetfreeaccesstheresultshas beenanalyzed.Therewere72Ipeopleanswered questionnaire,375maleand346female.644oft}lem werestudentsand77ofthemwerewokers.PearSon chisquareanalysisandstandardadjustedresiduals calculatedtodeterminesamplecharacteristicsf7]. 2.3PreliminaryResults

    TestISgoinginautomaticallyregimeandusercould receiveresultinseverasecondsasagradeofhisPA.

    LevelofPAissumofmarksforeachanswerof

    questionnaire.Duetointernationalrecommendations _j'5J,userreceivesresultsofhistestinginthree gradationsofPA:verylow(adynamia),low

    (hypodynamia),andoptima1.Theresultdependson ageandsex.Incasesofadynamiaandhypodynamia usera]soreceivesrecommendationstojncreaseheror hisphysicalactivity.

    Determinedphysicalactivityusuallywasnotoptima1 (Fig1).Ingeneralwehavetospeakabouthigh.1eve1 prevalenceofhypodynamiaandadynamia.Morethan 30%ofstudentshaveadynamia.Incomparisonwith students,femaleworkersmenhaveadynamiain3 timesrarerandfemaleworkershaveadynamiain1.7 timesrarer.Only/3ofstudentshaveoptimalphysical activity,andaboutofworkershaveit.Menhave optimalphysicalactivityfrequenterthanwomen. Ourresultsdemonstratedprevalenceofbehavior withhigh-riskheath'Sharmfulinrespondents.LoW levelofphysicalactivityinyounggroupmeans increasingspreadofNCDsinfuture[2.Lowerlevelof

    physicalactivityinfemale(incomparisonwithmale) respondentsimplyhigherrisksofosteoporosisf1.21.In general,behaviorofthemainpartofrespondentsWas

nonhealthy.

    TopreventNCDsdevelopmentinfutureCOmplex prophylaxisprogramsareinneed,Suchprogramshave toIncreasephysicalactivity.Femalestudentsand P<0.05differencesbetweenstudentsandworkers #P<0.05differencesbetweenmaleandfemale Fig?1DifferencesinPAbetweentestedgroups. GenderandAgeDifferencesofPhysicalActivityofStudentsandWorkers

    ofMoscowStateUniversityofMedicineandDentistry workershavetobethemostsensitivepartofthe programs.
