Hainan Li & Miao “Lunar March 3”

“Lunar March 3” is a traditional festival when Li people get together to express their admiration for each other, therefore it is also known as the day for confessing their love. On the day, the Li people would gather to wish for good harvest in Shanlan rice plantation and hunting. The elderly would bring along preserved meat and rice wine, sit down with the village headman and drink to their hearts’ content.
