    Researchers’ Mobility and Training

    Marie Curie Actions help to fund all kinds of training and mobility opportunities for researchers throughout their careers.

    The last calls of Marie Curie Research Fellowship will be opened on 14th March until mid-August. The next and new typologies of these opportunities will be launched with the new Research Programme “Horizon 2020” in 2014, therefore it is decisive to apply now.

    Ca’ Foscari University of Venice invites all researchers from abroad to apply for a grant here.

    The Marie Curie Actions aim to strengthen the human capital in research and technology in

    Europe, by stimulating people to take up the profession of a researcher, encouraging

    European researchers to stay in Europe, and attracting the best researchers from the entire

    world to Europe.

    Types of grants

    1. IEF Intra European Fellowships for Career Development

    This action aims to support the career development of researchers for enhancing their

    individual competence diversification in terms of skills at multidisciplinary level and

    intersectoral experiences. The research will be carried out in a host organization from another

    Member State or associated country for a period of 12 to 24 months.

    2. IOF International Outgoing Fellowships for Career Development

    This action enhances the international dimension of European researchers’ career by

    financing research project carry out in two different countries, for the first phase the

    researcher will be hosted in a host organization based in a Third Country and for the second

    phase in a European institute. The fellowship has a duration of 24 to 36 months.

    3. IIF International Incoming Fellowship

    This action reinforces the incoming top-class researchers active in a Third Country to conduct

    a project research in a European institute, with a view to developing a mutually-beneficial

    research co-operation between Europe and a Third Country. The fellowship has duration of

    12-14 months, with a possible return phase for researchers from International Cooperation

    Partnership Countries.

Research Topics

    The research topic will be freely chosen by the researchers in collaboration with the

    scientific supervisor of the host organization.

    Eligible Researchers

    Researchers must have obtained a doctoral degree or have at least 4 years’ full-time

    equivalent research experience and must not have resided or carried out their main

    activity in the country of their organization for more than 12 months in the 3 years

    prior the call deadline.

    Financial Support

    The European financial contribution for a Marie Curie Fellowship is a flat-rate for the

    entire period of the project. It provides the following entries yearly allocated:

    Categories EUR/year

    Living Allowance = employment contract

    Researchers with less than 10 years experience ? 58.500

    Researchers with more than 10 years experience ? 87.500

     Mobility Allowance = personal household, relocation and travel ? 8.400 (?700 expenses monthly) Researcher without family ? 12.000 (? 1.000 Researcher with family monthly)

    Training Expenses = research-related costs, meetings, conference ? 9.600 (? 800

    attendance, training actions, courses monthly)

    ? 8.400 (? 700 Overheads = general costs monthly)

    Individual "Marie Curie" Fellowships: Expression of Interest

    to Calls 2013 - Ca' Foscari University of Venice

    Research proposals are welcome from all areas of scientific and technological research. You must have either a doctoral degree or at least 4 years full-time research experience, after obtaining a degree permitting you to embark on a doctorate.

    Types of Grants:

    ; IEF- Intra-European Fellowships - Researchers based in EU Member States or Associated

    Countries can apply for an IEF at Ca' Foscari University.

    ; IIF- International Incoming Fellowships - Funding mobility of researchers moving from

    Third Countries to Europe. Top-Researchers active in non-EU countries will be financed

    to carry out excellent research at Ca' Foscari University.

    ; IOF- International Outgoing Fellowships - Funding European researchers conducting

    high-level research in non-EU countries. You will acquire new knowledge in Third

    Countries and you will be bring it back and apply at Ca' Foscari Univesity.

    Duration of contracts: 12 - 36 months with attractive salary and benefits. Deadline for expression of interest: June 20, 2013.
