    According to one expert, the probability that the first job choice one make is the right one for him or her is roughly one in a million. But when it comes to the problem “Do you prefer to start and stay with the same organization for your whole life long?,

    there still exist different opinions.

    The majority of people dont like to be the old-fashioned “organization man,

    starting and staying with the same company. They prefer a protean career, a more

    flexible career model. Since one must do a lot of researching and changing to find a career path that is psychologically and financially satisfying. The rest of respondents say It depends, if their first job choice luckily happens to be the one in a million,

    then Yes; if not, then No.

    At the same time, when asked Do you wish to be promoted?, most

    interviewees say Yes. Of course, a soldier who doesnt wish to become a marsh

    commander isnt a good soldier. Also, it is widely considered that the salary is reasonable or not profoundly influences many a persons attitudes to work.

    This paper is mainly made up of four parts. It first of all defines Career

    Development, followed by the importance of the career development to both employees and employers. Then, it provides lots of tips and advice for a successful career change as references for those who want to change their jobs. In addition, it introduces some extras for promotion to those who want to enhance themselves in the company. Eventually, it concludes a few approaches for self-motivation.

    Theres no doubt that the staffs career development is of great significance to

both the enterprises and employees themselves. When a persons career turns out to be

    a success, he or she will undoubtedly be awarded lots of money and high reputation

    which are the basis of the material satisfaction and spiritual satisfaction of life in the first place. And then, the company he or she stays with is able to make large profits, steadily increasing market possession rate and raising the notability of enterprise.

    So, before entering a company, everyone ought to make a career plan. In making a self-evaluation for a successful career development, you need to consider those factors that are personally significant, such as your academic aptitude and achievement, occupational aptitudes and skills, social skills, interests and values, salary level and opportunities for advancement, etc. If necessary, you can also counsel from managers, supervisors, and consultants.      Let the boss know you want to move up. As soon as you begin a new job, look for ways to learn new things. Volunteer to help out in ways you feel will make you more valuable to the organization. And ask for advice about what you can do to be more valuable to the organization.

    In your first week on the job, ask your supervisor to see you for about thirty minutes of private time. When you have his or her attention, say that you want to be more valuable to the organization. Ask what you can do to get a raise within a reasonable amount of time. Request special assignments to help develop your skills. Before you leave, ask for a specific future date to go over your progress. Make sure you know what you have to do to get the raise. Ask the boss to give you feedbacks on your progress from time to time.

    Ask for Training

    Get as much training as possible! Take any training that is available from your employers. Even if it is not in your area of responsibility, it may help you gain new skills in other areas. Define what training you need to do your job better. If it is not available through your employer, explain to your supervisor how the training will help the organization. Ask for help in finding the best training source.

    Decide what you need to learn to get ahead or to get the job you want. Take evening classes. Read books and magazines on related subjects, instead of watching TV at home. Stay up with what is going on in your fields.

    Computer skills and the use of new technologies are very important. If your job

    does not require you to develop these skills, it is most important that you go out and learn them outside of your job. Then look for ways to use these new technologies and skills in your present job.

    In conclusion, when aiming for promotion, developing work-related qualities are important. These qualities include qualifications, training, skills and abilities. Qualifications and training prepare us the necessary knowledge and theory for any job. Constant and relevant training, therefore, is necessary for further development. Professional skills and abilities guarantee excellent work performance, while managerial skills and abilities contribute to effective team performance.

    In addition, relevant personal qualities are important as well, such as loyalty to the company, responsibility and so on, since these qualities can establish your credibility and integrity among colleagues. In one word, you ought to be and ought to present yourself as a contributor to the company, as a person of high personal standing with a capacity for leadership.

    Of course, it is also important to know and accept your strengths and weaknesses so as to promote your strengths and make up for the weaknesses with a goal. Showing the sustained pattern of achievements and giving a sense of how you will continue to achieve and develop in the future cannot be ignored either.

     Actually, the daily work in company is boring and tedious. Faced with them day by day, year by year, one is easy to lose motivate power. But shouldering the burden of the family and the society, everyone is supposed to take self-motivation to get promoted.

    Ask Yourself WHY

    Why are you doing this? Write down your wants, needs, goals, hopes, and dreams. Does what you are doing now help you get fulfill any of these things? What is your motivation? The more you understand why you doing what you are doing the more powered you will be.

    Follow Your Bliss

    Try to know which work and type of people you enjoy. Structure your life around activities that you love. Joseph Campbell, a wise philosopher, advises you to follow your bliss. The more you do in life that goes with your own flow, the more passion you will have for what you do.

    Say No

    Focus on your own goals, not your partners. You must know yourself, your

    dreams, and your passions. If asked to chair another group or take on another responsibility, look at your mission statement or goals for the day. If it is does not fit there say thank you but I just cannot . Saying no is one of the hardest things in life, but will help make you a success in your chosen field.

    Organize and Prioritize

    Do the worst and hardest tasks first. Keep a to-do list and calendar with you at all times. If you fail to plan, you plan to fail.

    Eat Healthy

    Eat less junk food and more fruit and vegetables. We can actually get powered for daily work.
