SAFETY MEASURES
The main characteristics of the Airless System Spraying Equipment is that it develops high pressures. It is therefore essential to instruct the user (i.e. the operator using the equipment) to always strictly observe the following safety measures:
; Only use accessories which are guaranteed for high pressure operations (such
as hoses,guns,fittings, etc.).
Caution: for the safety guarantee the use of TECNOVER original
accessories is highly recommended. The Company declines any responsability
for all possible damages to objects or injuries to people caused by the use of
non-original accessories.
; When the equipment is operating, never put your hand or your fingers in
front of the gun and never orientate it towards yourself or other people. ; Before any action on whatever part of the equipment (including the gun),
always stop the equipment by means of the specific switch. Always unload the
pressure by rotating the knob of the pressure regulating valve
counterclockwise, while opening the return cock
; The product flowing within the hose will cause some static electricity, thus
making it is necessary to connect the equipment at all times and only to duly
grounded electrical sockets.
USE AND MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
Before carrying out any operation, ensure that the electrical mains voltage you wish to make your connections to conforms with the equipment’s one.
Any extension of a limited lenght of the electrical cable ought to be at least equal to the part supplied with the equipment. Should significant extensions be necessary, then the wire section has to be thicker. In such cases, a competent electrician’s advice is always recommended.
Caution: Any inadequate extension of the electrical cable may damage the motor irreversibly.
This equipment has been supplied with carriage grounding as well, according to the laws in force. Therefore any extension of the electrical cable and of the relevant sockets and plugs must be grounded.
HOW TO USE THE EQUIPMENT SAFELY AND
CORRECTLY
; Connect the hose of the material to both the gun and the equipment while
tightening the relevant fittings with a wrench.
; Connect the suction system to the equipment while tightening the relevant
fittings extremely well.
; Turn the motor on by pressing on the specific switch.
; Dip the suction searching system into the container of the product to be
sprayed, which will have already prepared, after having been filtered as well
as suitably diluted, while checking the bottom is caking-free at the same time. ; Let the product be sucked in until it is spouted out of from the return hose of
the suction system. Once you have obtained a regular flow, close the cock
aligned with the return hose. Slowly turn the knob of the pressure regulating
valve towards the maximum value, and check for the required pressure on
the specific gauge.
; Start spraying while always observing all the safety measures.
; To clean the equipment, apply the same procedures as above either by
allowing the “fishing” of suitable solvents to the product being used, or by
using water, in the case of a water-based product. After having recovered all
the product left inside the hose, recycle it very accuartely and abundantly. ; A peculiar cleaning extends the equipment life span and prevents any waste
of time at the moment of the equipment reuse as well.
MAINTENANCE
; Replace the oil first after working for 100 hours; use AGIP OSO 32
Hydraulic oil or a similar kind.
Caution: using inadequate oils may seriously damage the equipment
The following oil replacements must be carried out every 200/300 working
hours.
; In case of a long downtime, oiling the suction and pressure valve with light
oils is highly recommended.
TROBLESHOOTING IN CASE OF ABNORMAL
OPERATIONS : CAUSES AND SOLUTIONS
; If motor does not start:
; Voltage is missing: check the connections and ensure that the socket you
are connected to receives the voltage
; Overload cutout disconnected: turn the switch to Zero position and press
the overload cutuout red button
; If motor stops:
; Voltage droop: check the line
; Overload cutout disconnected: see above item for procedure
; If pump is not sucking:
; Suction hose is not completely dipped into the product: add some product
; Slacken suction hose fitting: tighten as far as possible
; Brocken suction hose: replace it
; Clogged suction filter: either clean it or replace it
; Low hydraulic oil level: top up with hydraulic oil AGIP OSO 32 ; Jammed suction valve: disassemble the suction hose holder fitting and
clear the valve while inserting or pushing with a finger. NEVER USE
TOOLS TO CARRY OUT THIS OPERATION
; Jammed pressure valve: remove the valve stopper and clean the ball
before reassembling everything as originally. NEVER EXTEND THE
SPRING, AND REPLACE IT IN CASE OF WEAR
; The suction valve seal is missing: install a new one
; If pump is sucking but the pressure does not rise:
; Return cock being either open or worn out: close it and replace it if worn
out
; Pressure regulating valve on the minimum position: turn it to the the
maximum position
; Pressure valve spring being either defective or worn out: replace the spring
; Defective suction hose: replace it
; The pump is sucking, the pressure is rising but it decreases as soon as the gun
is set in action:
; Noozle hole is too large or worn out: replace it
; Clogged filters: either clean them or replace them
; Slacken suction hose: tightly screw the relevant fitting while checking
whether the suction valve pressure is correctly positioned ; The product is too thick or heavy: either dilute it or filter it
; The hose containing the material vibrates too much:
; Nozzle hole is too large or worn out: replace it
; Pressure valve is worn out: replace it
To eliminate any hose vibrations, it is best to supply the equipment
with a
special “Antivibrations” part to be connected to the pump’s output
end.
This special hose is supplied upon request.
; If spraying is not homogeneus and streaks:
; Excessively low pressure: increase pressure
; Product is too thick: dilute it
; Nozzle is too large or worn out: replace it
HOW TO CLEAR VALVES ON THE AIRLESS PRESSING
EQUIPMENT
Whenever delivey and suction valves get blocked because of inadequate cleaning or a long equipment downtime, proceed as follows:
; DELIVERY VALVE
Remove the stopper, the spring as well as the ball. Clean extremely carefully
and reassemble as it was originally. See Dwg. 1.
; SUCTION VALVE
Insert your index finger and press it until the shutter is cleared. See Dwg. 2.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE AND SAFETY
REGULATIONS FOR THE AIRLESS GUN B500
The Airless Gun mod. B500 is for use with high-pressure pumps, both electric and pneumatic, with a MAX pressure of 350 BAR 5000 PSI.
ATTENTION!!! NEVER EXCEED THE MAXIMUM PRESSURE INDICATED
BY THE MANUFACTURER.
As this is a high-pressure gun, the user should strictly observe the following safety regulations:
; When gun is under pression, never put fingers or hands in front of it and
never turn the gun towards you or other people.
WARNING: not observing these safety
instructions could lead to serious injury. In case
of minor injuries, consult a doctor immediately.
; During work breaks, even if short, always check that
the trigger is blocked with the specific safety lever and always discharge
pressure first.
If the gun is left unattended, even for a short period, always block the trigger
and discharge pressure first. (See Dwg. 1 Pos. A)
; Always discharge pressure before any operation on the gun.
; Only use nozzles or accessories with finger protection.
; Only use accessories (nozzles, pipes, fittings, etc.) guaranteed for high
pressure operations and in compliance with EEC Directives.
; It is obligatory to connect pump with ground as the product flowing through
the tube generates static electricity.
THE MANUFACTURER’S DECLARATION ACCORDING TO THE EEC
MACHINE DIRECTIVE.
The above mentioned product is suitable for installations on machines provided they conform to the EEC Directives.

AIRLESS GUN BUTT
To reach the filter inside the gun butt, unscrew the butt and clean or replace it in case the latter’s mesh is damaged. When reassembling, verify the correct
filter positions and ensure that the filter-thrush spring is inside the butt. It is absolutely essential that filter cleaning and checking are carried out very carefully at the end of each working day.
