    Web Citrix Client Installation and First Time User Instructions:

1. After clicking on the installation link:

    https://acsfuse.ncsu.edu/Citrix/Metaframe/ICAWEB_Common/en/ica32/ica32web.msi

    you should see the following dialog box (Figure 1):

2. Choose ‘Run.’

    3. A second dialog box will open for you asking if you want to run the software (Figure 2).

4. Choose ‘Run.’

5. The installation will begin, and you should see a Client Setup dialog box (Figure 3):

    6. Click ‘Next.’

    7. The Citrix license agreement page will open (Figure 4).

8. Click the button ‘I accept the license agreement’ and click ‘Next.’

    9. The Client Name dialog box will open for you (Figure 5). Your computer name should be displayed in the Client

    Name box.

    10. Click ‘Next.’

    11. A ‘Ready to Install’ dialog box will open (Figure 6).

12. Click ‘Next.’

    13. The installation will begin (Figure 7).

    14. Finally, you will get a ‘successfully installed’ dialog box (Figure 8).

15. Click ‘Finish.’

    16. Open a web browser window and type the following URL in the address bar:

    https://acsfuse.ncsu.edu

17. The Citrix login page will open for you (Figure 9).

    18. Log in using the Citrix ID and Password you were given when you requested a Citrix account.

19. You will be prompted to reset your password (Figure 10). * If you are a Novell user, it will be helpful to set the

    password to the same as your Novell password.

    20. Enter the password you were given and create a new password with at least 6 characters including a numeric

    character.

    21. Click ‘OK.’

    22. You will be able to view the applications available for you through Citrix. The applications may be listed in a

    folder so you can click on a folder to view the applications inside the folder (See Figure 11 and Figure 12 on the

    following page).

23. Click on one of the available applications. You should be prompted to give the Citrix server application access

    (Figure 13).

24. Choose ‘Full Access’ and ‘Never ask me again.’

    25. Click ‘OK.’

    26. If the Client File Security dialog box does not open for you, double-click on the Program Neighborhood

    Connection Center icon (Figure 14) in the bottom right-hand side of your computer screen.

27. The Program Neighborhood Connection Center will open for you (Figure 15).

    28. If you have chosen an application, there should be an Active server listed. In Figure 15 the active server is

    ‘ETSCPS03.’

    29. Select or highlight the server name and click on the ‘File Security’ button on the right. The Client File Security

    dialog box (Figure 13) should open for you.

    30. Choose to allow ‘Full Access’ and ‘Never ask me again.’

    31. Click ‘OK.’

    32. If you are accessing an application that requires a Novell log in and you receive the error message in Figure 16

    (on the following page) you will need to log in as if you are logging into Novell.

33. If your Citrix id and password match your Novell id and password the ‘Context’ probably needs to be changed

    (Figure 17). You can use the drop-down to see if your context is in the list. If it is not in the list, type it in the

    ‘Context’ box.
