    POSITION TITLE: CLASSIFICATION: SECTION & UNIT: DATE: Receptionist/Administrative AVI Band 1, approx. Program Services Aug 2012 Support (maximum term) $39,000- $44,000

    depending on experience

    REPORTS TO: ROLES REPORTING TO THIS

    ONE: - Manager Marketing & Communications

KEY OBJECTIVES:

    ; To provide a customer-focused professional service and professional delivery of

    reception and administrative/office services within Program Services and to the wider

    organisation.

DECISION MAKING:

    ; Referral of queries to appropriate unit or person

    ; Contribute to selection of service to solve problems and address service requests ; Contribute to identification of services and changes to existing services

    ; Identification and implementation of escalation processes to ensure service levels met ; Modification of documentation and communication across the organisation

SELECTION CRITERIA:

    Knowledge & Experience

    ; Administration qualification and/or experience in a busy office environment

    ; Experience with PABX switchboard (or similar)

    ; Understanding of and commitment to AVI’s mission, values and corporate objectives ; Understanding of and commitment to EEO, Childwise and privacy principles.

    Skills & Attributes

    ; Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills

    ; Well developed administration and computer skills, particularly with Microsoft office

    applications, including Excel and PowerPoint, email systems & databases; proficiency

    using the Web and online marketing tools such as Survey Gizmo

    ; Good organisational ability, attention to detail and time management skills

    ; Ability to use initiative to improve processes or procedures

    ; Flexibility to adapt to the changing administrative needs of the organisation

    ; Strong customer service and professional approach in representing AVI as the first point

    of contact

    ; Ability to work with minimal supervision
