1 Organisation refers to a specific business entity which may be for profit or non-profit;

    in private, public, or voluntary sectors; a business unit, iwi, or other special purpose

    body.

     A strategic plan may be a documented plan, or a statement of strategic intent supported

    by a range of plans. The strategic plan referred to in this unit standard may be that

    developed in unit standard 23914 or another strategic plan.

    2 This unit standard will be assessed against on the basis of evidence of demonstrated

    performance in the workplace.

    Elements and performance criteria

Element 1

    Review organisational performance against operational plans and objectives.

Performance criteria

    1.1 Measures and analysis methods to monitor organisational performance are

    identified.

    1.2 Analysis shows how well operational units are performing against operational

    plans and objectives, using identified measures.

    Range plan components to be monitored include but are not limited to

    operational objectives, operational policies and procedures, target

    dates, human and other resource requirements.

    1.3 Review evaluates consistency and congruency of organisational performance with

    the organisation’s strategic plan.

Element 2

Report on organisational performance.

Performance criteria

    2.1 Report is concise, logical and timely in accordance with organisational

    requirements.

    2.2 Report conclusions are based on reasoned analysis and justified by supporting

    evidence.

Please note

    Providers must be accredited by NZQA, or an inter-institutional body with delegated authority for quality assurance, before they can report credits from assessment against unit standards or deliver courses of study leading to that assessment.

    Industry Training Organisations must be accredited by NZQA before they can register credits from assessment against unit standards.

    Accredited providers and Industry Training Organisations assessing against unit standards must engage with the moderation system that applies to those standards.

    Accreditation requirements and an outline of the moderation system that applies to this standard are outlined in the Accreditation and Moderation Action Plan (AMAP). The AMAP also includes useful information about special requirements for organisations wishing to develop education and training programmes, such as minimum qualifications for tutors and assessors, and special resource requirements.
