PRESS RELEASE - FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – 15.03.12
IT SUPPORT COMPANY OFFERS FREE COMPUTERS FOR SCHOOLS
To celebrate taking part in this year’s Education Show at Birmingham’s NEC, Stafford-based
IT support company EPX Technical Services are launching a new special offer of free computers for schools and colleges.
Any educational establishment signing up to an IT maintenance contract with EPX for one, two or three years, will be eligible for the offer.
Daniel Ellis, Managing Director of EPX, who are at stand C86, told us, “In many schools it is
the ICT teacher who maintains the computer systems, but this can have its drawbacks. Now, increasing numbers of schools are looking to outsource this role in order to free up their own staff, so they can spend more time teaching.”
EPX bring their knowledge and experience of just about every kind of network and system to the complex learning environment, also helping schools to fix their IT costs. A typical service package includes regular on-site visits by a dedicated IT engineer, fixing small problems via remote support, and a 24 hour emergency call-out service.
Jason Fell, Head of ICT at Kingsmead School in Cheshire, one of the schools that benefits from an EPX maintenance contract is quoted as saying, “EPX has taken over my function of
overseeing and maintaining the IT infrastructure at Kingsmead School. Fulfilling their contractual obligations without fail, they have often given service beyond what has been expected. I have no hesitation in recommending the services which EPX provides for educational establishments.”
Mr Ellis continued, “We are delighted to be showing our commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility and education by launching our Free PCs for Schools offer at the Education Show. Our maintenance packages already offer outstanding value for money for schools. By giving away free computers we are demonstrating how we are always prepared to go the extra mile for those in education.”
The deal is simple: For every ?100 per month a school spends as part of a twelve-monthly maintenance contract with EPX the school will receive one PC, preinstalled with Windows, including on-site set up, absolutely free of charge. This also applies for every ?75 per month stspent over two years or every ?50 per month over three years. The offer is open until 31
In conclusion, Mr Ellis said “We urge anyone interested in our Free PCs for Schools offer to come and chat with us at stand C86, here at the Education Show in Birmingham.”
