Thank you for playing an important role in the mission of the American Red Cross by “helping people prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies” as an Authorized Provider organization and/or instructor.

The Oregon Red Cross is centralizing many support functions around the state, and this letter is to update you on new instructions and resources for Authorized Providers regarding course records, technical guidance and ordering supplies throughout Oregon.

Changes to Supply Ordering

stEffective July 1, 2010, all course materials and Authorized Provider supplies must be paid for when placing an order or when picking up an order if possible. If this is not possible, the client will be invoiced for all supplies taken

from the Chapter. All materials are considered “purchased” at that time and routine returns will not be considered unless items are defective. Rental material billing processes will remain the same.

You have two options for ordering supplies:

; Directly from Staywell at www.shopstaywell.com

; To order from the Oregon Red Cross, email mabec@redcross-pdx.org or call the State Supply Coordinator,

    Chuck Mabe, at 503-528-5612.

At least two (2) weeks’ notice is required to ensure the availability and delivery of your supplies orders placed

with shorter notice may not be filled. Supplies can be shipped directly to you or to your local Chapter.

Processing Course Records

Course records should be submitted via:

    ; Email to hsrecords@redcross-pdx.org (preferred)

o Please indicate your home chapter, course date, authorizing organization and instructor last name in the

    subject line

    ; Fax to (503) 528-5974 Attn Records

; Postal Mail to PO Box 3200, Portland, OR 97208 Attn Records

Email is strongly encouraged and will result in the fastest and most accurate turnaround of your course records. In order to process your records effectively, you must include your Authorized Provider and Organization number (if

applicable) on each course record. If you do not know this number, please contact me. Certification cards will be mailed to the address you indicate on the course record ten (10) business days after they are received.
