    All summer long we offer exciting programs for children ages 0-13. These programs encourage learning and fun all summer long. Contact the Children’s Department at the Andrew Carnegie Free Library & Music

Programs for Summer Reading

    Read to Me - Tuesdays at 11:30 am (June 5 August 7) Children ages 0-3 are invited to join us for

    stories, songs, and more as we introduce them to the wonders that can be found in the library. Quest Club Wednesdays at 11:00 am (June 13 August 8) Children entering grades K-5 in the fall of

    2012 can join us to play the online Questyinz game, create their own quests, and just have fun in the library.

    Read with Me Thursdays at 10:30 am (June 14-August 9) Children ages 3-7 are invited to share in stories, crafts, and more each week. This is a great way to encourage reading readiness all summer long! Math4U For six weeks children entering kindergarten in the fall can learn all about fun math ideas like counting, adding, and subtracting to name a few. The program runs for six consecutive weeks starting June 25, 2012 at 10 am. Registration is required, so contact us soon!

    Science4U This science program, proudly sponsored by the PNC Foundation, will be six weeks long and each week will focus on a new science concept. This program is open to any child entering Kindergarten in the Fall of 2012 and registration is required. This program begins on July 5, 2012 at 2:00 pm and runs for 6 consecutive weeks.

    Test Week June 17 -21 Join us all week long as we try different programs at different times. The best ones will happen all summer long.

    Monday June 18:

    Noise Allowed 10 am to 12 pm Children ages 8-13 are invited to come to the library before it opens and play on the computers, read books, play games, and just have fun. Noise is definitely allowed! Outdoor Adventures-4pm- are open to kids ages 5-7. Join us as we play and explore in the world around the library. Meet in the Children’s Department and then head outside to play with beach balls, bubbles, parachutes, and more!

    Crafternoons 2:30 - Stop by the library and learn how to make some awesome crafts. We’ll be “Dreaming Big” and using our imaginations to make some great crafts. Please call to register so that we have enough craft for you! Wednesday June 20:

    Outdoor Adventures - 10:00 am - are open to kids ages 5-7. Join us as we play and explore in the world around the library. Meet in the Children’s Department and then head outside to play with beach balls, bubbles, parachutes, and more!

    Family Story Time - 6:00 pm - Join us for a family fun night of reading together. Family story time is open to all ages. We will share some stories together and then have some special family reading time. We’ll also have family games and sibling fun for

    those who are a little too old to listen to stories.
