All the Ss can remember the new words and expressions.

    Read the text frequently.

    The new words and expressions in the text.

    The past tense.

    Describe what they could do or what they couldn’t do .

     First listen to the tape twice , read after the tape together.

     Second the teacher explains the text and teaches the new

    words and expressions .

    Third the students learn the new words and expressions with

    the help of the teacher, then have a check.

    Fourth , read the text.

    Step3 homework

    Write the new words and expressions twice and have a

    dictation.

    Read the text three times.

We are learning about Helen Keller in this module . Helen

    Keller is very famous in the world and most of the students

    know little about her . So it’s easy for the students to

    understand the text.

All the Ss can recite the text and use the key sentence

    structures.

    She was blind. So she couldn’t see.

    She was deaf . So she couldn’t hear.

     And she couldn’t talk.

    But she was a very clever girl and she could learn.

    She learned to read and write.

    Helen went around the world to tell her story.

    Helen wrote books about her life .

    She helped people everywhere.

     Step 2 Revision

     Ask the students revise the new words and expressions learnt

     in last class for about ten minutes. Then have a dictation.

    Step 3 the text

    First , listen and imitate the tape . Make sure the students can

    read the text in correct pronunciation and intonation.

    Second , get the students to read the text till they can recite

    it .

    Third , recite the text.

    Last , have a check.

    Step 3 Key sentence structures

    The teacher writes the key sentences on the blackboard .

    Read the sentences after the teacher.

    Read together.

    Ask some individual students to read.

    Have a check.

    Step4 homework

    Recite the text

    Write the key sentence structures .

Most of the students can do well in dictation .
