An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Business Analyst to join Wesleyan Bank at our Head Office in Birmingham. Within this newly developed pivotal role you be responsible for pulling business requirements together and implementing new banking systems. You will provide support to IT technical Analysts and Developers and assist the business in implementing solutions and improvements to existing processes.
Using your skills and detailed understanding of the complete project lifecycle, you will ensure that risks and budgets are effectively controlled and managed and that all documentation is produced in accordance with agreed process methodology and standards. You will assist IT in the maintenance and systems administration of the bank’s computer systems, implementing new/modified banking and upgrades to the current systems and analysing and improving system critical processes by producing design option solutions. Meticulous in your approach and with excellent attention to detail, you will also be responsible for the preparation and provision of FSA, HMRC and other regulatory reports ensuring they are accurate, and completed in accordance with strict guidelines and time scales. With excellent communication skills you will maintain strong relationships with end users, operational management, software suppliers, customers and third parties. Able to work on your own initiative and as part of a team you will demonstrate the ability to prepare and deliver training sessions on the banks systems to ensure staff meet the required standards of competency. Highly motivated you will have the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines and with a strong focus on achieving results.
We are looking for a competent and driven Business Analyst with proven experience of analysing key performance MI and existing processes to identify problems and opportunities. You will have good overall systems knowledge including: Microsoft office packages, banking and/or accounting systems, databases and SQL. Previous experience in financial services is essential and experience in a retail banking environment would be an advantage. A Diploma in Business Analysis or equivalent is desirable.
