    It gives me immense pleasure to host the 9th International Gastric Cancer Congress (IGCC 2011) in Seoul, Korea from April 20th to 23rd, 2011. On behalf of the IGCC 2011 organizing committee, I extend a very warm and cordial invitation to all of you. The IGCC has been held biannually since 1995 as a scientific congress of the International Gastric Cancer Association (IGCA). As the most highly

     acclaimed meeting in the field of gastric cancer, the IGCC 2011 is General Information:

    expected to draw about 2,000 participants from around the world. The

    IGCC 2011 will be an excellent learning experience for all participants. Under the theme “A Gate to the Future of Gastric Cancer Treatment,” a wide range of scientific programs and stimulating social activities will be organized. In addition, renowned experts will address

    the pertinent issues and technological advances in the broad areas of

    gastric cancer and its treatment throughout the congress.

    Cancer is an increasing problem in the MENA (Middle East & North Africa) Region and ranks as the fourth leading cause of death. It is a major public health problem that affects every country in the MENA region regardless of economic and social General situation.
