Sunset of LSOG 4 - Flashcut

The purpose of this message is to re-state LSOG 4 sunset dates for planning purposes and to provide information regarding the pre-sunset handling of LSOG 4 Pipeline orders, as previously communicated via Verizon West Change Management.

    Important Dates:

    ; Effective February 9, 2003:

; No LSOG 4 Pre-Order requests will be accepted via EDI, WISE or FAX.

; No new LSOG 4 LSRs or changes to existing LSOG 4 LSRs will be accepted via EDI,

    WISE or FAX.

; In order to ensure that all LSOG 4 orders are out of the pipeline when LSOG 4 is retired on

February 9, 2003, Verizon recommends that all new LSOG 4 activity cease no later than

    November 30, 2002.

Once new LSOG 4 activity has stopped, CLECs should review any LSOG 4 PONs that have not yet been completed. The following actions must be taken by CLECs to ensure that their outstanding LSOG 4 LSRs are resolved:

PONs With Due Dates Beyond January 24, 2003 (Especially Hot Cuts):

; For every PON that has a due date beyond January 24, 2003, a SUPP 2 must be

submitted to change the due date by January 10, 2003.

; The new due date must be on or before January 24, 2003. The earliest possible due date

should be used in order to ensure that work is completed before the LSOG 4 retirement.

; If an LSOG 4 Hot Cut order cannot be moved up to before January 24, 2003, the order

must be cancelled by January 10, 2003 and a new order must be submitted in LSOG 5.

PONs in Query or Jeopardy Status:

; PONs in Query or Jeopardy Status must be completed or cancelled by January 24, 2003.

The CLEC may then submit a new order in LSOG 5 for an end user after the PON for that

end user has been cancelled in LSOG 4.

Any pending LSOG 4 LSRs that are not completed or cancelled by the dates stated above will be removed from Verizon's system. It will not be possible to convert pending LSOG 4

    LSRs to LSOG 5.

If you have any questions concerning these procedures, please contact Carol Yozzo at carol.a.yozzo@core.verizon.com or 508 370-1404. Verizon will work with you to ensure that any necessary actions are taken to resolve pending LSRs in an expeditious and quality manner.

    The following Pre-Order Response Codes for LSOG 4 will be removed with the Sunset of LSOG 4 - Flashcut: "534, 535, 536, 581, 582, 611, 612, 613".

CSI Add the Value of ―G‖ for all Government Accounts in the TOA Field

In February 2003 the Verizon West‘s Customer Service Inquiry (CSI) applications will add the value of ―G‖ for Government in the Type of Account (TOA) Field as a valid entry. The value of ―G‖ will return on a CSI Response for all Government accounts. This change is applicable to

the Wholesale Internet Support Engine (WISE) Graphical User Interface (GUI), Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) and Common Object Request Broker Architecture (CORBA).

CSI Add Error Messages for EDI & CORBA

Currently, Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) and Common Object Request Broker Architecture (CORBA) users can submit CSI requests with required information missing. When this occurs the user is not receiving a definitive response code and response description to identify the error. In February 2003 the Verizon West Customer Service Inquiry (CSI) applications will add new response codes for EDI and CORBA users when the required information is missing.

Additional Information:

In February 2003 EDI will return the state field in the physical address and the State field in the CCNA/CC/ST for CSI responses.

In February 2003 the D/TSENT field number 004 for LSOG 5 will be required for EDI and CORBA inquires and responses. The D/TSENT field will not be required for WISE inquires and responses.
