    The Product Manager will have the primary responsibility of establishing a thorough knowledge base and skill sets for Medium Voltage (1 kV to 72 kV) polymeric and porcelain insulators and surge arrestors to establish the necessary capability to modify, develop or source products to meets the demands of the marketplace. Other responsibilities will include supporting Sales and implementing the product strategy besides supporting all PM facets of meeting product line growth targets, market penetration, benchmarking competition and recommending product strategies, based on direct discussion with the customer and market data analysis.

    Prior experience with Medium Voltage Surge Arrestors and Insulators will be a very definite advantage.

Specific responsibilities

    ; Acquire a thorough understanding of local and international specifications related

    to MV Insulators and Surge Arrestors

     Acquire a thorough understanding of our product technology, applications and ;

    offering to effectively meet specific customer needs

    ; Work with customers and Sales to create product technical specifications with the

    objective of creating a proprietary position

    ; Evaluate customer specifications and market price, make optimal product

    recommendations. If no product is internally available that meets customer

    requirements, recommend alternate strategies.

    ; Drive cost reduction and re-design, design programs to meet customer / market


    ; Manage P&L for the product lines

    ; Provide product technical support to the Sales team and customers to bolster

    product knowledge

    ; Create a partnership with Sales to establish strong customer relationships not only

    to promote new and existing products, implement strategic and tactical objectives.

    ; Continuously communicate Product Management strategies, activities and goals

    to Sales. Understand market trends and provide internal updates.

    ; Conduct market analysis, bench mark competition and recommend product

    strategies optimized for rapid revenue growth

    ; Conduct Sales and customer training

    ; Identify new sales / product opportunities, recommend solutions and drive to

    successful completion.

    ; Effectively collaborate across organizational boundaries to achieve desired goals


    ; Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering from a reputable, recognized


    ; 10 years experience in a Product Management/Product Specialist role with at least

    5 years in experience with Insulators and Surge Arrestors.

    ; Prior experience in the Electrical industry utility / OEM


    ; Exceptional inter-personal skills, effective verbal and written communication


    ; Self motivated, proactive with a strong work ethic and the ability to operate with

    minimal supervision

    ; Ability to organize and prioritize tasks to ensure rapid revenue growth and

    provide excellent customer service, internally and externally

    ; Multi-lingual must be able to communicate effectively in English both written

    and spoken.

    ; Be a good team player
