    ;assumptiontobecorrect.Inthis1etter,wereportthatastrongfluorescenceemiRed

    ;fromsmallmoleculescontainingaminegroupafterthetreatmentofoxygengas.This

    ;workprovidedsignificantresultstogetabeUerinsightintothisfluorescencemechanism.

    ;1,2-Ethylenediamine(EDA),whichisaprecursorforsynthesizingPAMAMdendri-

    ;mers,waschosenasanexampletodemonstratethestrongfluorescenceemittedfrom

    ;(NI-I4)S2Os,andtheyalsoconcludedthatoxidationreactionmightplayanimportantrole

    ;intheformationofthefluorescencecenters.

    ;Fluorescenceemissionswerealsoobservedfromtheoxygen-bubbledsamplesof

    ;otherkindsofsmallmoleculescontainingaminegroups,suchas,n-octylamineand
