    Next Generation Base Station Controller for Ericsson Wireless Professional

    Communication, San Diego, USA, since Dec. 2000 Experience

    Description: ngBSC is a base station controller for CDMA 2000 (Code Division Multiple Access) cellular phone network. Its main functions are vocoding, packet

    data support, routing, resource management, hand-off processing and CDMA power control. ngBSC is based on Cello (Ericsson proprietary) hardware running OSE

    (Operating System Embedded) Delta operating system. The application programs

    are developed using C++ and designed using object oriented methodology.

    Responsibilities: Design, development and testing of Packet SOE (Service Option Element).

    Training: 2 days training program on Ericsson CDMA 2000 Products.

Next Generation Radio Network Manager for Ericsson Wireless

    Communications, San Diego, USA, Aug. 2000 to Dec. 2000

    Description: ngRNM is a network management software for managing and configuring CDMA 2000 network. This is based on Sun Enterprise server running Solaris operating system. The software is developed using Java and CORBA and designed using object oriented methodology.

    Responsibilities: Design, development and test installation of Solaris OS and ngRNM. Design to support upgrade by ngRNM.

    Training: 5 days training program on CORBA.

Prototype for Next Generation Radio Network Manager for Ericsson

    Wireless Communications, San Diego, USA, May ‟00 to July „00

    Description: This is a prototype project for ngRNM development.

    Responsibilities: Design, development and test various CM (Configuration Management) functionalities of ngRNM. The software is developed using Java and CORBA and designed using object oriented methodology.

    Training: 5 days training program on Java.

    Off-line Data Analysis for Ericsson Wireless Communications, San Diego, USA, and Qualcomm (India) Inc. from Aug. ‟98 to May „00

    Description: ODA is an off-line tool to analyze logs generated by BSM (Base

    Station Manager, a network management software for CDMA-IS95 network) and

    Mobile Diagnostics Monitor components of CDMA system. ODA analyzes Drop out Calls, Soft Handoff Failure, Frame Error, etc. and either outputs in ASCII format or

    stores in Object Oriented Database, Objectivity. The software is developed using C++, Perl, Expect, Tcl/Tk and Objectivity for Solaris.

    Responsibilities: Reproduction of problems reported by ODA users. Design, development, test and release bug fixes.

    Training: 2 days training program on CDMA Concepts & Terminology. 5 days training program on TIA/EIA 95A/B standard. 2 days training program on Cellular Mobile Systems 11 (CMS) products.

Degas for Qualcomm (India) Inc., India, from Aug. „98 to June „99

    Description: Degas is an on-line tool to analyze the performance of a running CDMA system. It communicates with CDA (Call Detail Access) sub-system of CDMA

    using sockets, gets CDRs (Call Detail Records) and generates reports. The software is developed using C++ for Solaris platform.

    Responsibilities: Reproduction of problems reported by Degas users. Design, development, test and release bug fixes.

Training: 5 days training program on SS7 signaling.

Distributed Software Support Program for Tata Infotech Ltd., India, from

    Nov ‟97 to Aug „98

    Description: This was a support project for fixing bugs in Unisys‟ SVR4 OS and Unisys‟ Communication products. Communication products included OSI (Open System Interconnect) protocol stack, MHS (Message Handling System), FTAM (File

    Transfer, Access and Management), VTP (Virtual Terminal Protocol), DS (Directory Service) and X.25. All fixes are done in Unix/C.

    Responsibilities: Reproduction of problems in OSI stack, MHS, FTAM and VTP. Design, development, test and release bug fixes. Followed ISO9001 and software engineering processes throughout the project.

    Training: Conducted 1-day training program on C++ and 1 day training program on Visual C++. Participated in 2 days training program on OSI protocol stack and 2 days

    training program on X.25 protocol.

SmartSuite ‘97 for Tata Infotech Ltd., India, from Jun ‟97 to Oct „97

    Description: SS97 is a 32-bit API library for OS/2 Warp platform. The project involved functional verification of APIs. Test cases were developed in C language on

    Windows NT and tested on Windows NT and OS/2 Warp.

    Responsibilities: Development of test cases for User and Registry APIs. Testing on Windows NT and OS/2 Warp. Followed ISO9001 and software engineering processes throughout the project.

Training: 6 days training program on Windows NT internals.

Template Editor for Tata Infotech Ltd., India, from Jun ‟96 to May „97

    Description: Template Editor enables users to design flight tickets and boarding passes. It is developed on Windows 3.1 using Visual C++ and designed using object-

    oriented methodology. The features include draw/edit/delete/save/retrieve of objects like text, image files, rectangles, lines, etc. Compile objects to Association of European Airlines format. Display and print objects in “What you see is what you get” mode.

    Responsibilities: Requirements analysis and systems design. Development and testing of user interface for drawing/editing/deleting objects, compile objects to AEA format. Acceptance test at client‟s site and qualification on Windows NT. Followed ISO9001 and software engineering processes throughout the project.

Training: 2 days training program on ATM technology.

    Thermocouple Interface for Larsen & Toubro Ltd., India, from Oct ‟94 to Apr „96

    Description: Thermocouple Interface is designed to replace RTD (Resistor Temperature Device) and Analog Input Interface combination with enhanced features. The system software is developed in Turbo C and 8031 assembly language. The hardware is developed using 80C31 micro-controller.

    Responsibilities: Design, development and testing of system software. Validation tests at customers‟ site. Followed ISO9001 procedures throughout the project.

Training: 8 days training program on ISO9001 and 2 days training program on Total

    Quality Management.

Analog Input Interface for Larsen & Toubro Ltd., India, from Feb ‟94 to Sep „94

    Description: Two types of interfaces are developed, one with 8 differential ended inputs and the other with 16 single ended inputs. The system software is developed

    in 8031 assembly language. The hardware is developed using 80C31 micro-

    controller.

    Responsibilities: Design, development and testing of system software. Validation tests at customers‟ site. Followed ISO9001 procedures throughout the project.

Analog Output Interface for Larsen & Toubro Ltd., from Aug ‟93 to Jan „94

    Description: The interface supports 4 differential ended outputs. The system software is developed in 8031 assembly language. The hardware is developed using 80C31 micro-controller.

    Responsibilities: Design, development and testing of system software. Validation tests at customers‟ site. Following ISO9001 procedures throughout the project.

    Programmable Logic Controller for ELGI Equipments Ltd., India Curriculum

    Project Description: The project was done as a part of Engineering Degree. The PLC has 24 discrete inputs and outputs each, expandable to 256. The system software is developed in 8085 assembly language using CRS8 cross assembler. Hardware is developed using 8085 microprocessor.

    Responsibilities: Design, development and testing of system software. Design and implementation of application program.
