1 Introduction

    GW EPV2R1 uses UniView DA,which is a new generation network

    management platform created by GW Technologies CO.,LTD ,as its platform to

    maintain and manage the device.

    1.1 Purpose

    The manual provides operation guide for network administrator and

    system engineer to manage and maintain network using EasyPath series of

    GW such as GFA6700, GT811, GT812 and GT831.

    1.2 Remarks

    The manual only introduct related EasyPath System fuction. Please refer

    to the UniView DA Network Management Platform User Manual for the

    fuction and operation of UniView DA network management platform. 2 Topology Management

    This manual only illuminates Add Netork Element and Modify

    Topology Map for EPV2R1 system, whiles all the detail illumination of this part is in the UniView DA Network Management Platform User Manual (v2.00).

    2.1 Add Node

    UniView DA Network Management System create topology physical

    map of EPV2R1 system automatically by adding node and its auto discovery

    of topology. The detail operation shown as follows:

    Open the map which to be added node. There are following two ways to

    open the add node dialog, as shown in Fig.2-1:

    ? Select the main menu[Edit/Add Node]

    ? Select the[Add Node]button in toolbar.

    Fill in the name and description of a node. Select icon from the

    category list and icon from symbols list. Click the [Next] button and

    enter in the dialog, as shown in Fig.2-2:
