1 Introduction of EPON V2R1 Network Management
Software
EPON V2R1 network management software (EPV2R1 equipment module for short), which is developed by Beijing GW Technologies Co., LTD.(GW for short) is a network management software for EPV2R1 series equipment. Based on UniView DA network management platform developed by GW, It provides the foundation functions as faults management, configuration management, performance management, security management, et al which are advised by TMN for EPV2R1 series equipment. EPV2R1 series equipment model includes central office
equipment GFA6700, remote office equipment GT811, GT812, GT831, et al.
2 Preparation for Installation
UniView DA network management platform must be installed before installation of EPV2R1 equipment module.
2.1 Requirement of computer configuration
The server and client of UniView DA can be installed at different computers to construct distributed system. However they can be installed at the same computer, too.
Only one UniView DA server can be installed in a single computer. During the installation processing, Apache2.0 web Server and JRE1.4，or higher version！will be installed.
The following table is the environment condition of UniView DA for Windows version installation:

3 Install/Uninstall of EPV2R1 equipment module
The installation of network management software includes two parts: UniView DA network management platform installation and equipment functional module installation. And they need to

be installed separately. The equipment functional module installation requires support from UniView DA network management platform, therefore, it needs to install UniView DA network management platform first.
It should be attentive that the equipment functional module must be installed onto both computers of server and client, if the UniView DA network management platform is configured as network form, which means that server and client are installed at different computers. 3.1 Installation of EPV2R1 equipment module
Open the Install/devices folder of EPV2R1 equipment module installation disk, and double-click “UV_DA_EPV2R1 V1.00.exe” to start the installation of EPV2R1 equipment module.
Figure3-1 shows the Choose Setup Language dialog. Users choose [English (United States)] to set up.

Figure 3-2 shows the preparing installation dialog of EPV2R1 equipment module.

The dialog to verify that no UniView DA network management platform is running will be popped up, as shown in Figure 3-3.

Click “OK” to enter the welcome dialog of EPV2R1 equipment module installation wizard, as shown in Figure 3-4.

Click “next” to copy files and come to the installing status. During this period, it can be clicked at “cancel” to quit the installation, as shown in Figure 3-5.

Click “finish” after accomplishing installation to quit the installation , as shown in Figure 3-6.

3.2 Uninstall of EPV2R1 equipment module
After installing of EPV2R1 equipment module, it can be removed through the “add/delete” of control panel. Find the EPV2R1 For UniView DA, as shown in Figure 3-7.

Click “modify/delete” to enter the preparing work of removing equipment module, as shown in Figure 3-8.
