We Are Not Getting Much Happier Today
When we were children, we were always dreaming of growing up. We were sick and tired of following what our parents told us. We had to go back home for dinner although we were having fun with friends with mud on hands. We might say please for hundreds and thousands times to get a party night permission. We would dream of making money as a grown up and buy all the toys we admire.
Growing up means getting freedom. That’s all of a child’s
imagination. Unluckily, when we are growing, the confusion keeps growing, too. We are not getting much happier today.
Why we have to sit in the classroom and read the boring books just to get a higher score? Why the freedom comes with loneliness and the more friends we have, the more loneliness we get? Why we seem to miss the protection from parents when we live far away from them? Why we can’t realize our ambition after hard working?
Now,we can hang out with friends and eat out as long as we like. We can go to a party without telling our parents. We can buy many things with our own money. But we just feel at a loss beside the happiness brought by freedom. We are homesick. We are not happy because we miss our parents’ inculcation which come out to help us
make the right choices.
We are not getting much happier today because we miss the feeling
of being loved.
