Get the students to say the places showing to them: It’s

    Step3 Presentation

    1. Ask the class to give a show of hands for the places they have visited 2. Point to one of the pictures and ask: Do you know this place? Get the answers: I know this place. Its/I don’t know this place

    Step4 Practice

    1. Ask the students to look at the pictures in Point and say. Students put a tick or a cross to show whether they know or don’t know a place.

    2. Introduce the places: Tiananmen Square, Yu Garden, West Lake, Li River, San Ya,

    Ocean Park

    3. Point to the map of China and ask: Where is? Is it in?

    4. Play the tape in Point and say. Listen to the dialogue and tell the others the place in the dialogue.

    5. Listen and follow the tape

    Step5 Production

    1. Ask the students to make cards about the places in China and write the names of the places

    2. Get the students to ask and answer as a shop assistant and a tourist, they are talk about the places

    3. Ask the students to stick their pictures and make a brochure. Get them to arrange their pictures and postcards in a way they like. They can introduce the places they like first.

    1. Show a picture of Ocean Park. Ask the students if they have visited Hong Kong and

    Ocean Park there.

    2. Get the students to look at the pictures in Ocean Park. Ask them if they know the

    English names of the attractions in the park e.g. Ocean Theatre, Shark Aquarium. 3. Learn the words: shark, dolphin, seal

    T: What animals can you see in Ocean Park

    Step4 Practice

    1. Ask the students to look at the map of Ocean Park in their books T: Where can you see the?

    2. Learn the attractions: Fish Aquarium, Shark Aquarium 3. Divide the students in groups of 6. Each group design a sign for one of the places

    listed in their books. Then one come to the front and draw the sign 4. The others guess the signs represent

    5. Play the tape: Look and read, students listen and follow Step5 Production

    1. Get the students to ask and answer in pairs about the dialogue in Ask and answer

    2. Invite pairs of students to act the dialogue in front of the class. Ask the students to

    listen carefully and check if their classmates are guessing whether its the right place

    to go
