Step1 Warming up

    Step3 Presentation

    1. Invite students to draw insects and animals on the blackboard. Point to the parts, ask and answer: What’s this/that?

    2. Learn the new word: cocoon

    Step4 Practice

    1. Play the cassette: Look and say. Students listen and follow it 2. Students listen and repeat

    3. T: Look at the butterfly. Is it ugly or beautiful? Get the answer: Its beautiful.

    Step5 Production

    1. Draw a butterfly on the blackboard and point to different parts of the butterfly. Ask:

    Whats this? How do you spell that in English?

    2. Divide the students in groups of four

    3. Give the pictures in white and black. Students work in group to make a poster. Name different parts of the butterfly.

    4. Get the students to give a title to the poster

    5. Get the students to make similar posters of the topics e.g. insects, animals, plants Step6 Exercise

    4. Invite the students to draw caterpillars, cocoon, eggs and butterflies on the board

    5. Ask the students to use the pictures on the board to show the life of butterflies. Get
