    Job Description

Job Title: HR Manager

Reports to: Production Director

Hours of work: Monday to Thursday 8am to 5pm, Friday 8am to 4pm

Location: M&H Plastics

    London Road

    Beccles

    Suffolk

    NR34 8TS

Job Purpose:

    ; To provide a full comprehensive HR function to the Directors, Senior Managers

    and all employees ensuring that the Company‚Äôs strategic needs and the needs

    of the employees are met by the provision of an effective, pro-active service

    which is administratively and legislatively compliant.

Responsibilities

    ; Acting as a focal point of contact to ensure effective communication links both

    internally and externally regarding HR issues.

    ; Keep updated on employment law changes and ensuring any changes are

    updated in the Employee Employment Manual and issued accordingly. ; Keeping the CEO informed on all-important issues as appropriate. ; Close liaison with other Directors and Senior Managers on all HR issues. ; Prioritise tasks and organise workloads effectively to meet deadlines. ; Liaise with senior managers with any disciplinary/grievance matters/procedures. ; Ensure managers are following up any absence management issues, liaise

    with Occupational Health and other external medical providers to support

    employees.

    ; Liaise with senior managers with any restructures and work closely during any

    formal processes that need to be undertaken, ensuring legal compliance

    throughout the process

    ; Completing monthly absence statistics for the monthly Management notes and

    Board Pack.

    ; Organise, administer and support Directors meetings.

    ; Manage the recruitment and selection procedures by liaising with senior

    managers and directors on advertising, selection methods and ensuring full

    process is compliant with all employment legislation.

    ; Ensure all offer letters and contracts of employment are accurate. ; As secretary on the employee consultation forum, organise and take minutes

    from EICC meeting.

    ; Co-ordinate staff training programmes.

    ; Co-ordinate appraisal programme across the business.

    ; Liaising with the Payroll Manager ensure any payroll queries are dealt with

    appropriately

    ; Work with other senior managers on business-wide projects as required ; Ensure all filing is compliant with data protection.

    ; Lead on any HR projects as appropriate

; Manage work and development of the HR Assistant

    Person Specification

Essential Skills:

    ; Confident with excellent interpersonal, administrative, organisation skills and

    ability to liaise with people at all levels; maintaining tact and diplomacy at all

    times.

    ; Ability to work well under pressure in a reactive environment to ensure

    deadlines are met and monitor outcomes

    ; Sets and meets challenging and stretching goals to drive the business forward ; Confident in creating new ideas and making informed decisions using

    information researched to back up reasons

    ; Makes on-going efforts to build long term working relationships inside and

    outside the business

    ; Ability to prioritise tasks, organise and control workloads and to delegate

    effectively

    ; Undertakes analysis and traces business implications in data, or in situations,

    anticipating customer behaviours

    ; Puts information across in clear and useful way

Essential Experience:

    ; Proven experience in an HR role, as HR Advisor or Senior Advisor or Manager.

Desirable Experience:

    ; Proven experience of managing others in an HR team.

    ; Proven experience of working in a manufacturing environment.

Essential Qualifications:

    ; CIPD qualified.
