PRELIMINARIES:

Normally lectionary citations are given only for the seasonal weekday readings for memorials.

When the lectionary provides a proper reading (or readings) for an obligatory or optional memorial, both the seasonal and sanctoral readings are indicated to allow the celebrant the choice of the non-proper reading. Seasonal weekday readings are also indicated for Jesuit feasts when someone might be celebrating in a non-Jesuit church or chapel and needs reference to the seasonal readings.

Abbreviations: S [solemnity] (Gloria and Creed, proper readings),

    F [feast] (Gloria, proper readings),

M [(obligatory) memorial] (weekday lectionary is used unless a biblical saint occurs with proper readings [noted below]; in this case one may use only the proper reading or all readings from the Proper of Saints),

no letter and observance listed after seasonal weekday celebration indicates optional memorial.
