We are looking to appoint a motivated Unit Supervisor for the Catering Department

    at the Hill Crest Unit in Redditch.

This is a hands on post, working with and leading a small team. Experience of cook

    Two new posts have arisen in the Commissioning and Modernisation Directorate at Redditch and Bromsgrove Primary Care Trust, to help us meet the exciting challenge of offering increased choice to patients.

PATIENT CARE ADVISOR Ref No: 3241/RB/PC

    FULL TIME two years fixed term contract or secondment

    Salary range ?22,882 - ?24,749 p.a. (pro rata for part time)

    You will be responsible for arranging and offering the choice of an alternative provider to patients who have been waiting 6 months for planned surgery. You will also work towards the implementation of a choice of providers offered to patients at the point of referral by their GP. As well as liaising directly with patients, you will work closely with colleagues in the Primary Care Trust, at the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch, other hospitals and in primary care. You will need excellent negotiation, communication and inter-personal skills, be computer literate and have the ability to work flexibly and on your own initiative.

    A good working knowledge of the NHS is vital and a clinical background is desirable but not essential. As the service must be responsive to the needs of patients, occasional evening and weekend working may be required.

    You will maintain databases and systems to facilitate patient choice and support the Patient Care Advisor to identify patients eligible to be offered choice of surgery at another hospital. You will also support the wider commissioning team in the collection and analysis of referral data, monitoring of waiting lists and setting of activity levels in contracts with hospitals.

    You will be able to prioritise your workload, work flexibly and on your own initiative, be well organised and be computer literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Experience of working in the NHS is desirable but not essential. You will possess good verbal, numerical and written skills.
