The HSBC Champions tournament, will be played at the Shanghai Sheshan
International Golf Club in Shanghai, China, from November 9th to 12th, 2006.
The event carries a prize fund of $5,000,000 and first prize of $833,300 will be co-sanctioned by the European Tour, the Asian Tour, the PGA Tour of Australasia, the Sunshine Tour and the China Golf Association, making the HSBC Champions tournament a truly international “championship of champions”.
This exciting tournament brings together title winners over the past 12 months of across the aforementioned four Tours, along with many of the world’s leading
players through the qualification criteria, including the top 50 on the Official World Golf Ranking. HSBC has also made provision to invite eight Chinese players in a commitment to involve local talent and support the development of golf in that country.
With 4 hours Worldwide LIVE TV coverage of all four days play (broadcast in China on CCTV and in ALL major markets including: Japan, USA, South America, Europe, Australia, Asia, South Africa, UK and Canada) the HSBC Champions Tournament promises to be one of the most extensively viewed golf events in the world.

Hospitality patrons will receive the very best in corporate entertainment with access to a shared suite on the golf course premises and capable of entertaining up to twenty VIPs per day.
