Program Consultant on
Assessments Finance Matters ; Praxis ; New Teacher Survey There are several points we need to make about reimbursements: ; KTIP IECE ; When the District Coordinator receives rosters from the Intern ; SLLA ; KYPT Management System, the names on the rosters are approved for ; KPIP payment. Unfortunately, the payment will not be made the same day.
There is a process that the payments have to go through, and the Program Consultant payments will be made as soon as possible. As of February 12, 2009 ; KTIP ; NBPTS we have processed 2,023 resource teacher payments. This includes ; CEO teachers in public and private schools. Private school teachers are ; KYPT encouraged to keep their addresses current in IMS, so payments may be received at home. The 1099 form will be mailed from the Finance Administrative Specialist and Administration Cabinet, not the EPSB. Should you need to
contact the Finance and Administration Cabinet the number is 502-
; The EPSB office sends emails about payments to the district Finance
Officer. If this is not the person to whom the payments need to be
sent, please advise Carol Smith in our office at firstname.lastname@example.org.
; When National Board 75% reimbursement checks are sent to the
districts for National Board candidates, those checks are to be treated
as expense reimbursements and need to be dispersed immediately to
the National Board candidate. There should be no taxes withheld on
this money as they are expense reimbursements.
; When KTIP resource teacher money is sent to the districts, that
money is to be dispersed in the teacher’s next paycheck and not held
for an extended period of time.
Confirmation Of Employment
Did you fill out a COE for a newly-hired teacher who was not able to go
through the intern program because of budgetary matters? If that teacher is
accepted into the internship program in the fall, you must send in another
COE at that time. You will soon receive a letter from this office explaining this.
New Teacher Survey
Resource teachers and interns may be contacted to participate in a pilot of the newly designed New Teacher Survey. The purpose of this survey is to gather feedback from new teachers and their mentors to determine if the intern feels he or she was well prepared to teach. Not only does this information come to
the EPSB, but it also goes back to the college or university where the intern graduated.
Any genuine teaching will result, if successful, in someone's knowing how
to bring about a better condition of things than existed earlier.
