?Hilton Hawaiian Village Beach Resort & Spa Offers
World-Class Meeting Facilities
HONOLULU, Hawaii (2006) — With three conference centers and the largest meeting and convention facilities of any Hawaii hotel, Hilton Hawaiian Village Beach Resort & Spa is uniquely
positioned to serve the meetings, conventions and incentives needs of nearly any client.
The Hawaiian Village offers more than 150,000 square feet of function space, including the
Mid-Pacific Conference Center, Tapa Conference Center, Kalia Executive Conference Center, and a
variety of smaller meeting rooms and outdoor function areas.
―More than half a million people visit Hawaii each year for conventions, conferences and trade shows,‖
said Gary Seibert, area vice president and managing director of Hilton Hotels Corporation - Hawaii Region.
―Delegates are drawn to this full-service destination for its unparalleled beauty, state-of-the-art facilities,
and a unique brand of hospitality, known as the aloha spirit.‖
Mid-Pacific Conference Center. The Mid-Pacific Conference Center is the largest capacity convention, meeting and banquet facility available in any resort in Hawaii. At this conference center, the
27,053-square-foot Coral Ballroom, the state’s largest ballroom, has a seating capacity of 2,600 for
banquets and 3,700 for receptions. For groups that do not need such an impressive function space, movable
walls let the Coral Ballroom be partitioned into five smaller ballrooms. The ballroom has the most
sophisticated audio-visual equipment available in Hawaii, capable of accommodating highly sophisticated
light and sound displays, including concerts and all manner of multimedia spectacles.
Outside the Coral Ballroom, the Coral Lounge offers 8,836 square feet of pre-function space, ideal for
pre-event receptions and mixers, or able to host it own events.
Steps away from the Coral facilities are the South Pacific Ballroom, Sea Pearl Suite, and the Nautilus
Suite. The 5,848-square-foot South Pacific Ballroom divides into four rooms. With a capacity for 520
banquet guests, the ballroom has an adjoining South Pacific Lounge with 2,448 square feet of pre-function
space. Across the hall, the South Pacific Boardroom provides a private room for executive meetings.
Also part of the Mid-Pacific Conference Center, the Sea Pearl Suite offers 2,736 square feet of space,
divisible into six breakout rooms for parties, receptions and luncheons. The Nautilus Suites, with a 2,000
square foot reception lounge and 1,500 square feet of meeting space, provide additional breakout rooms and
Tapa Conference Center. Dominating the second floor of the Tapa Tower, the Tapa Conference Center offers an impressive array of flexible function space that underwent a $2 million renovation in Fall
2000. The 16,536-square-foot Tapa Ballroom, which can be separated into three smaller ballrooms,
accommodates 1,400 banquet guests or 1,900 guests seated theater-style.
The Tapa Ballroom has a 19-foot ceiling and a glassed-in control room for a state-of-the-art high tech
sound and lighting system. Chandeliers equipped with 1,200 light bulbs have lighting effects that blend and
vary colors and allow for controlled dimming. Fifty-four hang points are also available to display
temporary lights and speakers around the stage. A hanging rod around the perimeter of the ballroom allows
for presenting posters, banners or curtains, and cable trays are available for lighting, sound and data lines,
eliminating the need to tape down wires.
Adjacent to the Tapa Ballroom is the 7,000-square-foot Palace Lounge, providing a pre-function space.
Nearby are the Honolulu Suite and Iolani Suite, which offer 7,203 square feet of space divisible into 10
fully-equipped breakout rooms. As a pre-function space, the Honolulu Lanai provides 2,625 square feet.
Kalia Executive Conference Center. For meetings that require personal service and privacy, the
Kalia Executive Conference Center offers meeting rooms that are equipped with T-1 lines that supply both
Ethernet and wireless high-speed Internet access, as well as video and teleconference capabilities. These
meeting facilities also can be equipped for high-speed Internet access with speeds of one, two and three MB,
depending on customer needs.
With a total of 4,600 square feet, each of the center’s five meeting rooms has a lanai (balcony), which
opens to Hawaii’s beautiful outdoors. Two of these rooms are also divisible to create seven function spaces.
?The Ilima Boardroom, for guests with the most upscale, refined meeting needs, features a SMART Board,
an interactive whiteboard which can turn computers and projectors into powerful tools for teaching,
collaborating and presenting.
The Kalia Executive Conference Center conveniently connects via skybridge to the Mid-Pacific
Conference Center, and is but an elevator ride away from the Executive Floors of the Kalia Tower.
In addition to its three conference centers, the Hilton Hawaiian Village also offers several other venues
for meetings, functions and other events.
Rainbow Suite. On the lower level of the world-famous Rainbow Tower, the 2,376-square-foot Rainbow Suite offers flexibility and expansive views of Hilton Lagoon. The suite can accommodate up to
180 guests, banquet-style, and over 270 guests for receptions. Like other large function areas here, it can be
broken into three smaller meeting rooms, and the adjoining Rainbow Patio provides a tropical lagoon-side
setting for a cocktail party.
Meeting planners may also choose from five outdoor venues. The Rooftop Garden (part of the
Mid-Pacific Conference Center) offers over 12,000 square feet with movable tropical palms framing a
spectacular ocean view. The Lagoon Green on the shore of our oceanfront lagoon, is capable of hosting 2,000 attendees for a reception, and the Village Green, nestled among palm trees and tropical flora, is an ideal location for events with up to 600 attendees. The Village Green, with a nearby gazebo and waterfall, is
a particularly popular location for weddings. The Super Pool and Tapa Pool decks are also ideal for outdoor
theme events. Providing space for up to 900 guests, the Super Pool is landscaped with lava rocks, exotic flora and waterfalls. The Tapa Pool deck accommodates up to 300 guests and is surrounded by tropical
gardens, waterfalls and an adjacent gazebo.
Hilton Hawaiian Village can also accommodate events of 4,000 guests or more with the neighboring
Fort DeRussy Park.

―Hilton Hawaiian Village is able to commit up to 1,500 rooms for groups,‖ said Jon Conching, regional
vice president of sales and marketing for Hilton Hawaii. ―We maintain a tradition of excellent service that is rewarded by repeat business.‖
Whether entertaining an intimate group or planning a corporate function for thousands, the Village
provides complete banquet and catering services. Meeting planners can choose from an extensive menu of
pre-planned delights or theme-party bonanzas. The Village’s Catering & Convention Services staff will plan and serve breakfast, lunch, a dinner banquet, or reception for groups of virtually any size.
Hilton Hawaiian Village Beach Resort & Spa and Xerox Hawaii feature the first full-service
hotel-based, 24/7 business center in Hawaii. The 2,200-square foot Xerox Business Center, which is
located on the ground level of the Diamond Head Tower, offers a wide range of document, computer,
equipment rental, Internet, postal and mailing services for business travelers, meeting planners and
attendees of meetings, incentives and conventions. Services include custom end-to-end copying and
printing, including optional typing and word processing, collation and delivery of completed document
packages; fax, computer and e-mail services; rentals of computers, printers, digital copiers, fax machines,
cellular phones and pagers’ Internet access and data lines; a full menu of postal and mailing services
including packaging services and overnight delivery; and an office supply retail store.
Reports show that more than 85 percent of business travelers require the use of office equipment such
as a computer, copier, or fax machine while staying at a hotel. Many of these travelers base their hotel
selection on the availability of business services and equipment. And with the convenience and speed of the
Internet, most convention and meeting planners want the option of digitally forwarding their document files
to their meeting sites for end-to-end printing, collation and delivery.
Stay Wired at the Hilton Hawaiian Village. In addition to the most meeting and convention space, Hilton Hawaiian Village offers hard-wired and wireless high-speed Internet service in most of the Village’s
indoor meeting and function spaces, and high-speed Internet in most guest rooms. Some of our guest rooms
also feature two-line phones, speaker phones and personal fax machines. Hilton Hawaiian Village offers a
number of high-tech services to make the Village Experience slick, smooth and successful for conventions,
company meetings and incentive groups. During peak periods and when groups are checking in, the Village
employs the ease and efficiency of remote wireless check-in to help alleviate check-in lines at the front desk.
Presentation Services, the Village’s in-house audiovisual company, offers superior audiovisual equipment and services, including video conferencing, at the resort. They are the leading provider of in-house
audiovisual services in luxury hotels, resorts and conference centers throughout the world. No matter what
size or scope of meeting, Presentation Services has the resources to provide the very best in service,
equipment and support.
