    measuringofthemicroelementsinsolids,liquidsandgasesandfordiscriminationofmicroorganismsand

    bacteria.ItiSarelativelynewtasktOusetheLIBStechniqueinplantsamples.Inourexperiments,the

    spectrawereproducedbyinfraredradiationofNd:YAGnanosecondlaserinduced

    breakdownwithapulse

    energyof100mJandwererecordedwithin230

    1080nmbyfiberopticspectrometerwithdifferentdelay

    timesforsomevegetablesandfruitssamplespreparedbyvacuumfreeze

    driedtechnique.Thetypicalspec

    trawereshowninFig.1forLilysamples.

    TherelativecontentsofsevenmicroelementsasCa,Na,K,Fe,Al,Mg,andMninthesampleswere

    analyzedbyinternalstandardmethod.TWOcarbonlinese.g.247.86and493.22nmwereusedasinternal

    standardspectralines.TherelativelineintenMtiesthatareproportionaltoelementcontentwerecompared

    amongdifferentsamples.Fig.2showsthecomparisonofrelativecontentsamongstrawberry,Chinese

    gooseberryandapple,wefoundthattherelativecontentsofNaarethehighestandtherelativecontentsof

    Caare1owestintheapplesamples.TheexperimentalresultsshowedthatLIBStechniqueisafastandef

    fectivemeansformeasuringandcomparingtherelativecontentsofmicroelementsinplantsamples.
