    Software Development Engineer in Test, Fulfillment by Amazon

    Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) team is seeking highly a motivated Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET). Our team’s objective is to allow

    external retailers who use as a store front to leverage our world class fulfillment and customer service capabilities. This is a chance to work in an innovative development team, participating in development and testing for systems spanning the entire company.

    FBA is looking for self-guided, resourceful and hard working software engineers to provide development support, participate in infrastructure development, creation of testing suites, as well as provide day to day support for testing / QA. Successful candidates would have:

    ; 3+ years of hands-on experience writing automated tests using C++,

    Java and Perl

    ; Deep background in testing in a Linux environment and using shell


    ; Experience working with Oracle databases and practical experience

    with SQL

    ; Strong problem solving skills and an ability to come up with creative

    solutions to impossible-to-solve problems

    ; Good verbal and written communication skills

    ; Knowledge of Build Verification Test (BVT) and continuous build

    systems is a plus.

    ; Working experience of Selenium or other similar UI testing tools is a


    ; Experience in agile development environment a plus

    Job responsibilities may include (but are not limited to):

    ; Composing and documenting test plans and testing guides

    ; Executing test plans

    ; Reporting and regressing bugs and driving hotfixes to the live site

    ; Writing automated tests for services and applications

    ; Implementing test automation suites in C++/Java/Perl

    ; Preparing data sets and populating databases and data files

    ; Enhancing the testing framework and related infrastructure

    ; Providing support for miscellaneous infrastructure development tasks
