    2009 NAIOP Awards of Excellence Recognizes Best and Brightest in Local Commercial Real Estate Community

    Cleveland, May 18The NAIOP Northern Ohio Chapter presented its annual Awards of Excellence Friday, May 15, at the Marriott Cleveland Downtown at Key Center. The annual program recognizes the best projects, real estate transactions, and individual performance during the previous year in the commercial real estate industry in Northern Ohio.

    Over 300 of the area’s top commercial real estate professionals attended the lunch program, which is dedicated to recognizing design, development and marketing successes in industrial, office and mixed-use developments completed in 2008.

    Nominees were firms and individuals that best represented the industry in the quality of their real estate projects, their leadership and their involvement in the communities in which they conduct their business. Categories include Interior Design, Architectural Design, Renovation, Office Development, Industrial Development, and Real Estate Transactions, along with recognition of outstanding NAIOP member awards. There were also four categories for ―Traveling Gun‖ (projects outside of Northern Ohio) for Architecture, Interior Design, Construction and Broker as well as a new category for Traveling Gun Sustainable (High Performance/Green). A new President’s Award was

    also presented which recognizes communities and individuals that encourage and support development and the local real estate industry.

Special thanks were extended to ―Properties Magazine‖ who served as Media Sponsor.
