and validate a Novel Wastewater treatment bioreactor. Value

Feb 2008 A K2I (Knowledge to Industry) grant to investigate the
applicability of a software tool developed by a company called
XpertRule. Value ?1500. Co-applicant
Jan 2008 A 3 year collaborative project with ROBOWORLD of Egypt to
investigate the latest innovations in Welding technologies. This
is in collaboration with GERI. Value ?75,000 . Co-investigator.
Dec 2007 A successful submission to Envirolink to conduct a
Comprehensive investigation of the use of microwave heating,
ozone and plasma for the reduction of food waste. Value

July 2007 A collaborative project with King Fahad University in Saudi
Arabia to investigate water pollution intrusion into soil. Value

June 2007 A successful submission to Envirolink to conduct an
investigation on the use of microwave heating for the production

May 2006 A successful KTP submission in collaboration with United
Utilities to develop necessary knowledge to design and operate
a sustainable biological phosphorus removal process for
wastewater treatment using regenerated carbon source from

March 2006 A successful KTP submission to investigate Biological Removal
of Phosphorous and Nitrogen from Industrial wastewater. Value
1997-Date Hydro International makes a contribution of at least ?2000 per
annum to maintain the ongoing research into Hydrodynamic
Vortex Separators. This year‟s contribution is ?2400 to
investigate re-entrainment of removed particles in a
hydrodynamic vortex separator. So far ?35,000 have been
