     SAC RDS Futureline Mark II involves three kinds of extra equipment for the company’s milking robots. The milk is handled and collected in pails, milk trucks or cooling tanks. A buffer tank ensures continuous milking when the cooling tank is being emptied or cleaned. Teat cups are cleaned between two milkings at 110 degrees C.

    CN-klovren for cows in loose housing systems is a hoof cleaner with two large, soft brushes and rinsing jets for water and eventual additives. The hoof cleaner is positioned in the return passage in the milking house.

    Opicon Sandvasker, Sand Recover SR-1600, is a newly developed system for recovering sand from slurry in cattle housing. Following treatment, the sand can be reapplied in the resting boxes and considerable advantages are attained regarding pumping and slurry spreading operations.     VDV Ecofloor is a newly developed slotted flooring element for cattle houses that combines concrete and rubber. The purpose is to ensure improved cow welfare and simultaneously to attain a significant reduction in the evaporation of ammonia from the slurry channels. The photograph shows a stall in which the flooring is being tested. The inset photograph presents a flooring element. This new flooring is manufactured by van der Velden Beton, Belgium.

    Comfort slotted matting is a rubber surface for installation on the beams of new or existing concrete, slotted flooring elements. The purpose is to ensure increased cow comfort in the gangway areas in addition to securing a faster flow of manure through the slotted flooring.

    Air purification system for cow houses. This is a stall floor concept in which all gangways are equipped with slotted flooring and deep slurry channels.     Multi-manure units are newly developed flooring elements for the reduction of ammonia evaporation from cattle housing. This is partially drained flooring with integrated moulded rubber matting to ensure non-slip surfaces. The system involves two types of slotted flooring elements

    LIfeSAver (LISA) Farrowing Monitor is an electronic unit for the monitoring of farrowing sows. It simultaneously functions as an electronic sow card. LISA provides visual information to the personnel regarding the farrowing situation for the individual sow and facilitates the collation of data regarding farrowing, treatment, etc.
