     SAC RDS Futureline Mark II involves three kinds of extra equipment for the company’s milking robots. The milk is handled and collected in pails, milk trucks or cooling tanks. A buffer tank ensures continuous milking when the cooling tank is being emptied or cleaned. Teat cups are cleaned between two milkings at 110 degrees C.

    Opicon Sandvasker, Sand Recover SR-1600, is a newly developed system for recovering sand from slurry in cattle housing.     VDV Ecofloor is a newly developed slotted flooring element for cattle houses that combines concrete and rubber. The purpose is to ensure improved cow welfare and simultaneously to attain a significant reduction in the evaporation of ammonia from the slurry channels. The photograph shows a stall in which the flooring is being tested. The inset photograph presents a flooring element. This new flooring is manufactured by van der Velden Beton, Belgium.

    Comfort slotted matting is a rubber surface for installation on the beams of new or existing concrete, slotted flooring elements. The purpose is to ensure increased cow comfort in the gangway areas in addition to securing a faster flow of manure through the slotted flooring.

    Multi-manure units are newly developed flooring elements for the reduction of ammonia evaporation from cattle housing. This is partially drained flooring with integrated moulded rubber matting to ensure non-slip surfaces. The system involves two types of slotted flooring elements

    BDS upper mixing containers are applied in connection with BDS dry mixers with a capacity of 2000 litres. The purpose of the upper container is to increase the mixing capacity in that the raw goods are weighed and ground in the upper container at the same time as the actual mixing is being processed in the dry mixer.

MBM is a newly developed Malebro’s Mill for the grinding of feed. The drop-shaped design of the

    mill eases the passage of the whole/ground grain to and from the mill. Increased capacity and reduced heat development results from the rotor design which ensures that it both draws air in via the raw goods intake and ventilates the air out through the screen.

    Velos 2.0 is newly developed software for transponder systems. The system is built up with a central main control and decentral controls at each feeding point. In the event of a system breakdown, a safety mode ensures that all sows are supplied with a standard feed ration until the connection is re-established.     BDS Intelligent valve system, eating time control, type P700, is a new method for measuring eating speed and for the follow-up regulation of feed quantity. The quantity is increased or reduced at the next feeding if the pigs eat faster or slower than a preset reference time.

    VengSystem Intelligent Covering is applied for the regulation of heat supply in piglet pens with climate creep areas. The height of the opening to the creep area is reduced at night when the piglets are sleeping and thus do not emit so much heat. This reduces the requirement for supplementary heat.

    A newly developed farrowing pen for loose operation sows is specially equipped with a free holding ring and a pendulum above each sow. The ring ensures that the sow applies the pen in the right manner and the pendulum prevents the sow from rolling in over the piglets when they are suckling.

    This new revolver injector, the Prima LDR Low Dose Repeater facilitates injections with low

    doses of medicine. The fluid chamber has a capacity of 2 ml. When filled it can provide up to 20 injections of 0.1 ml., for example, for relieving pain prior regarding castration of piglets.     Skorpio-80 is remote control, self-propelled emptying equipment for floor storage. This new equipment is driven by electricity and has an operating width of 4 m. The elevator lifts the grain up onto a zig-zag conveyor that ensures that the unloading point remains fixed when the equipment moves into the grain piles.

    A modular built, iron plate boiler and a Quick Shift burner head are two innovations on this stoker furnace. Extensions are available in stages of 60 kW from 90 kW to 270 kW. This new Quick Shift burner head can be fitted and removed without tool requirements. Sand, ash and slag are continuously removed from the combustion zone.

    Benekov BBC is a Linux based system for the control of a stoker furnace. The system has wireless connection to the internet, retains operational data for up to 5 years, logs data on the factory server and can acquire new software and new settings for new fuels.     Grubbens Deflaker, GLD 200, was developed for application in the paper industry but is now introduced for application in biogas systems. The system splits fibres which are difficult to decompose in manure and energy crops. This improves conversion and increases the gas yield.     Anico Animal Control is a patented system for the control of wildlife. The system applies a sensor or video camera to register and save information regarding wildlife movements. The control can activate various defensive stimulants, for example, via 500 different sounds combined with light, odour and movement. The system can also be applied to warn against wildlife, e.g., alongside roadways.

    Top-Stop is an electronic unit for the prevention of overfilling field sprays, etc. The required amount of water is set with the aid of arrow keys and the actual amount is indicated on a display. There is also a water level contact, positioned at the top of the tank, so that the water supply is turned off if the tank is full prior to the pre-set amount being attained. Jens P.     ColoQuickPasteur is a New Product for the heat treatment of colostrums for calves. The treatment ensures that the bacteria are destroyed whilst the antibodies which are beneficial for the immunity of the calves are retained. This New Product, which is produced by Calvex A/S in Skive, Denmark, was presented on Tuesday with one of the two Agromek Awards for New Products for Cattle Farming at the Agromek-livestock Exhibition in Herning, Denmark.     MT Højgaards Integrated Air Exchange system is a new principle which removes at least 75 percent of the ammonia fumes in slurry channels in cattle houses.
