EVENT: This is a type of event specifically designed to be suitable for TRAIL bikes. The event will be decided over a number of "SPECIAL STAGES" which will be timed to the nearest second. The course will be made up of basically "4WD
width" tracks, which will be predominantly stony forest roads and "Overgrown Lanes".
BIKE ELIGIBILITY: SPORTS BIKE class:
1. Bikes may be any fully road legal machine not included in the Trail / Rally class.
2. Bikes must be fitted with working horn, front and rear lights powered by the machines generator.
3. Front and rear tyres can be ANY fully ROAD LEGAL and “E” marked type.
4. All bikes must be properly and efficiently silenced.
Any machine entered in the Sports bike class which at scrutineering is found not to comply with the eligibility rules in
any way will not be allowed to start.
BIKE ELIGIBILITY: TRAIL / RALLY BIKE class:
1. Bikes must be fully road legal and either has been described as a TRAIL bike by the manufacturer or be included in the list enclosed with these regulations.
2. Bikes must be fitted with working electric horn, rear light/stoplight, and main/dip beam headlight.
3. Bikes must be fitted with pillion footrests if standard fitment.
4. Front and rear tyres can be ANY fully ROAD LEGAL and “E” marked type.
5. All Trail bikes must be properly and efficiently silenced.
Any machine entered in the class which at scrutineering is found not to comply with the eligibility rules in any way will be
moved to the Sports Bike class.
N.B. Tyres marked N.H.U. (Not for Highway Use) or similar, non-speed rated tyres and motocross tyres are
specifically EXCLUDED from this event.
RULES/PENALTIES.
COURSE: Full details of the course will be announced with the final instructions. Your special test start times will be available when you sign on or in the Marquee on the Friday and Saturday evenings.
FLAGS: If a RED flag is shown riders MUST STOP IMMEDIATELY and seek advice from the official showing the flag. A
YELLOW flag indicates that riders must proceed with GREAT CAUTION.
SPEED AVERAGE: There will be an overall average speed of 18 M.P.H. or less. There will be no penalty for being late at a "Special" stage until you are more than 30 min. late, at which point you will be excluded. If you are early at a "Special" stage you will have to wait for your correct start time, you will not incur any penalty for being early and waiting. If you are
late you will have to wait until the marshal can give you a start. After all everyone else hopefully is starting on their allotted time.
ROAD FUND TAX: A valid current tax disc should be displayed.
RIDING NUMBERS: Will be issued by the organisers.
REFUELLING: Clearly marked areas along the route will be designated as the refuelling area. YOU are responsible for
your own refuelling arrangements. Re-fuelling details will be in final instructions as we are negotiating with others. Most riders will probably need to refuel during each day but your bike must be capable of over 50 miles per tank. CLOTHING: Helmets must have an ACU gold or silver stamp. Motocross type boots, gloves and suitable strong clothing MUST be worn. It is STRONGLY recommended that enduro type clothing is worn including a jacket.
COURSE MARKING: Will be by Dayglow arrows. On the "Special" stages marking will be to British Championship enduro standard.
MACHINE EXAMINATION / SIGNING ON: Will be between 09:00a.m. and 11:15a.m. on Saturday. Machines must be presented for examination BEFORE you sign on. Signing on will CLOSE AT 11:30a.m.
START: The riders will start at 11:00a.m. on the Saturday and 09:30 on the Sunday. The start order will be by "seeding" (see entry form) and not class or capacity. Riders will start each of the "Special" stages individually. NOISE: All machines may be tested and MUST meet current enduro / rally standard.
SPECIAL NOTES.
(1) Entries will only be accepted with money, entry form and 3 SAE's - NO ENTRIES WILL BE TAKEN BY TELEPHONE.
(2) Machine must have the official riding number issued clearly visible at all times.
(3) Abuse from either driver or supporters to any officials will not be tolerated and WILL lead to exclusion from the event
with the matter being reported to the ACU for further action.
(4) Only COMPETITORS are allowed to ride the course. Action will be taken against unauthorized persons found to be doing so. Having a support rider will result in the competitor being excluded.
(5) NO SMOKING IS ALLOWED IN REFUELLING AREA.

THE ENTRY FEE INCLUDES; Camping on Friday & Saturday evenings and we intend to
provide a meal on the Saturday night plus a snack for riders and marshals
when you come into the finish area on the Sunday, others may purchase.

This event is held under the National Sporting Code of the Auto-Cycle Union, the Standing Regulations, Supplementary Regulations and any Final Instructions issued for the meeting. The ACU National Sporting Code and Standing Regulations are published annually in the ACU Handbook.
