Exercise 1: Part alignments in 3D Models

Objectives

After successfully completing this exercise, you will know how to:

; How to open file.

    ; How to hide parts

    ; How to assemble parts

Step 1. Open file

1. Start AutoVue by IE

    Http://142.120.20.238/jVue/jVue.html (HK)

    Http://142.120.72.164/jVue/jVue.html (CDE)

    Http://142.120.60.248/jVue/jVue.html (EW)

    Http://142.120.51.19/jVue/jVue.html (Cavite)

2. Run menu File->Open local file

    Find and browse \\HTSK-4111\htsk-4111.asm.1

Step 2. Assemble part washer (to-3p.prt.6”)

1. Run Menu Analysis->Part alignment

    2. Check option “Coincident” in Constraint Type

    3. Select part “to-3p.prt.6” (part 4)

    4. Select the face on part 4 which will attatch to part 5 (037-10000488x.prt.6)

    5. Select the attatched face on part 5 6. Check option “Anti-Aligned” in Constraints frame

7. Check “Concentric” in Constraint Type

    8. Select part 4

    9. Select arc on the hole of part 4

    10. Select art on the screw part 1 ( “39120104061.prt.6”)

    11. Press button “Apply”

    12. Press button “Close” to close “part alignment” dialog

Step 3. Assemble spring washer part (“spring-washer-m3.prt.4”)

1. Run Menu Analysis->Part alignment

    2. Check option “Coincident” in Constraint Type

    3. Select part 3

    4. Select the face on part 3 which will attatch to part 4

    5. Select the attatched face on part 4 6. Check option “Anti-Aligned” in Constraints frame

7. Check “Concentric” in Constraint Type

    8. Select part 3

    9. Select arc on the hole of part 3 10. Select art on the screw part 1 11. Press button “Apply”

    12. Press button “Close” to close “part alignment” dialog

Step 4. Assemble nut part 3 (“3940040004.prt.11”)

User tries to assemble this part by yourself.

Exercise 2: Transforing parts in 3D

Objectives

    After successfully completing this exercise, you will know how to:

; How to open File

    ; How set configuration

    ; How to transforming parts

    ; How to change Color of part

    ; How to output drawing image

Step 1. Open file.

    1. Start AutoVue by IE

2. Run menu File->Open local file

    Find and browse \\HTSK-4111\htsk-4111.asm.1

Step 2. Transformation

1. Run Menu Analysis->Transform->Apply

    2. Select Part 1, Press button 1 many times until part 1 is on proper position

    3. Select Part 2, Press button 1 many times until part 1 is on proper position 4. Select Part 3, Press button 1 many times until part 1 is on proper position 5. Select Part 4, Press button 1 many times until part 1 is on proper position 6. Select Part 5, Press button 1 many times until part 1 is on proper position 7. Select Part 6, Press button 2 many times until part 1 is on proper position

Step 3. Hide parts

1. Select the one of parts which do not display on the figure above

    2. Press right button of mouse

    3. Press the menu “Hide” on popup menu

    4. Repeat step 1-3, Hide all the other parts which need to hide.

    (Press Ctrl + Left mouse to select multi parts at same time)

Step 4. Hide Globe Axes

    1. Run menu Option->configuration 2. Uncheck “Show Global Axes” option

    3. Press button OK

Step 5. Change the color of part

    1. Select Heatsink part (htsk-411.prt.24) 2. Right Click mouse.

    3. Click “Display Attributes”->Color on popup menu 4. Select proper color you like

    5. Press button “OK”

Step 6. Output BMP Image

1. Run Menu File->convert

    2. Select one of output format in “Convert To Format” : Windows Bitmap 3. Input or Browse File location 4. Press Button OK
