DEF 2 Node Option

    1 Customer Premises to 1 LNS node

Availability

     DEF is deployed where SONET facilities are available. If SONET facilities are

    not available, LNS Special Construction charges may apply.

Business Needs Addressed by this Configuration:

     Customers that have one main premises and need to connect to multiple

    premises in a metro market using the AT&T Local Network

     Customers whose current bandwidth demand is expected to grow in 6-18

    months and which will benefit from the “bandwidth reservation” of a DEF

    Facility

     Customers who require the full DEF bandwidth at one premises

     Customers seeking to consolidate all their metro traffic on one facility

     Customers wanting to reduce future mileage costs

    (point-to-point circuits rates vs. DEF Service Channel rates)

    2 Customer Premises to 1 LNS Node

Business Needs Addressed with this Configuration:

     Customers who have two main premises and need not only to connect their

    premises (in a secure environment) but also to reach multiple premises in a

    metro market using the AT&T Local Network

     Customers whose current bandwidth demand is expected to grow in 6-18

    months and which will benefit from the “bandwidth reservation” of a DEF

    Facility

     Customers wanting two premises to share the DEF bandwidth and still meet

    business needs

     Customers which are seeking a SONET “ring-type” environment but do not

    need an AccuRing or UVN solution

    1 Customer Premises to 2 LNS Nodes

Business needs Addressed with this Configuration:

     Customers who want AT&T Local Network node diversity while connecting to

    multiple premises in a metro market using the AT&T Local Network Customers whose service channel demands are in different locations of a

    metro market and which want to reduce mileage costs by ordering service

    from different AT&T Local Network nodes

     Customers who require specific diversity in a metro market without the cost

    of duplicate circuits
