Astragalus alcoholic liver disease in rats liver tissue expression of ICAM-1
【Abstract】 Objective To investigate the astragalus on alcoholic liver disease in rat liver tissue ICAM 1 impact.
Methods 36 rats were randomly divided into 3 groups (n = 12):
normal control group (control group), alcoholic liver disease group (model group), alcoholic liver disease astragalus treatment group (treatment group ). Observed in each group liver tissue expression of ICAM 1 Morphological changes of
liver tissue. The results of alcoholic liver disease model group, liver tissue ICAM-1 expression was significantly
enhanced with the normal control group, significant difference (P <0.01); alcoholic liver disease astragalus treatment group and alcoholic liver disease model group liver tissue ICAM 1
expression was significantly reduced (P <0.01), liver tissue damage mitigation (P <0.01). Conclusion astragalus on preventive and therapeutic effects of alcoholic liver diseases, its mechanism may be related to the inhibition of
liver cell ICAM 1 in the expression.

observed.ResultsThe expression level of ICAM 1 in alcoholic
liver disease group was higher than that in control group (P <0.01), the structure of liver tissue was impaired (P <0.01). The expression level of ICAM 1 in alcoholic liver disease
treatment group was lower than that in alcoholic liver disease
group (P <0.01), the structure injury in the liver tissue was alleviated (P <0.01). ConclusionRadis Astragali has satisfactory effect on experimental alcoholic liver disease, the mechanism may be corelated with its inhibition on ICAM
1 in liver tissue.

Alcoholic Liver Disease (Alcoholic liver disease, ALD) is caused by the long-term drinking of alcoholic liver injury, because the incidence was rising trend, so we in the
pathogenesis of alcoholic liver disease and its prevention and treatment research very seriously. Recent studies have shown that tissue intercellular adhesion molecule 1
(Intercellurlar adhesion molecule 1, ICAM 1) and
alcoholic liver disease closely related to [1,2], is caused by an important factor in liver injury. In this study, rats with alcoholic liver disease animal model to observe the astragalus on alcohol-induced liver tissue of rat intercellular adhesion molecule -1 expression, for the clinical prevention and treatment of alcoholic liver disease provide a theoretical basis.
1 Materials and methods
1.1 Model Preparation and animal groups selected 36 healthy male Wistar rats, weighing 250 g, from the Institute
of Animal Room of Xianning. Were randomly divided into 3 groups of 12 animals. The normal control group, model group, alcoholic liver disease, alcoholic liver disease astragalus treatment group. Use of ethanol concentration, gradually increasing doses replicated with alcoholic liver disease. Experimental animals fed a normal week, in addition to the normal control groups were given the remaining 40% of the ethanol 6 g * kg-1 * d-1 in two gavage, gavage every 2 weeks after the volume and concentration of ethanol, a gradual
increase, 10 weeks of ethanol concentration of 60%, by gavage volume of 10 g * kg-1 * d-1, a continuous gavage 12 Zhou mold. Control group was given the same dose of normal saline, fed twice a day, a total of 12 weeks. Of alcoholic liver disease

exact alcohol-induced liver injury in pathogenesis has yet to fully appreciate. Studies have shown that, ICAM 1 and
alcoholic liver disease closely related to, Santos Perez et
al  that the ICAM and its ligand LFA 1 in liver tissue
caused by the combination of inflammatory infiltration, which led to liver cell injury, Bautista [4 ] on isolated liver cell culture, confirmed that alcohol can increase the expression of ICAM 1. These results indicate that in normal liver tissue is only a small amount of expression of ICAM 1, alcoholic
liver disease model of liver tissue increased expression of ICAM 1. This is consistent with the reported in the literature. Astragalus is a traditional Chinese medicine Fuzheng qi, with enhancing immunity, anti-free radicals and
membrane lipid peroxidation, delaying hepatic fibrosis, and the composition is relatively stable, has been widely used in clinic. The results of this study showed that astragalus treatment of alcoholic liver disease in liver tissue
expression of ICAM 1 was weaker than the model group of
alcoholic liver disease, liver and organizational structure to reduce the damage, suggesting that alcoholic liver disease Astragalus inhibit liver tissue expression of ICAM 1,
thereby reducing the liver tissue damage. This may be
