    This manual is designed to simplify your preparation work for the exhibition. Careful study of this manual will make

    it much easier for you to process all relevant matters smoothly. Please retain copies of the forms you have completed so that queries could be easily settled and invoices accurately checked.

3. TECHNICAL PRESENTATION

    Exhibitors may apply for technical presentation at the technical workshops of the China International Stainless Steel Congress, which will be held in conjunction with the exhibition. Applicants should fill in Form 4A and 4B.

B. RULES AND REGULATIONS

1. CUSTOMS CLEARANCE

    All items and exhibits entering the exhibition hall must first be cleared by the Customs. Exhibitors should check with the Official Freight Forwarder regarding this procedure in any case. Please note that any item that is not cleared by the Customs will not be allowed to leave the exhibition hall once brought in. Tax is normally not required for displays, stationary or drinks to be consumed in the exhibition hall. Any gifts for distribution to visitors should be declared to the Customs for approval. All literature for distribution, slides, videos and movies must be approved by the Customs in advance. Please note and check Freight Forwarder’s Manual for details.

2. STAND FITTING

For exhibitors with "raw space", no stand fitting structure may exceed a height of stnd(7.5 meters in 1 floor and 3.5 meters in 2 floor), and no part of any structure may

    extend beyond the boundaries of the allocated space. Exhibitors who intend to have stands of special design are requested to send the dimensional drawings in duplicate to the organizers for approval, in any case, not later than July 10, 2007. For Shell

    Schemes/Package Stands, any additional stand fitting or display attachment that may cause damage to the shell stand structure is not allowed. Corner stands are two sides open (two sets of the company’s sign panel) unless the exhibitors otherwise notify the organizer.

    Exhibitors who use their own stand contractor should fill in Form 6 and return it to the organizer before the deadline, besides, they are obliged to inform their contractor of paying Management fee For Contractor to Operation Dept. of the Exhibition Center at

    US$ 4 per square meter of net exhibit space and RMB 40 per person for Common

    certificate fee.

3. STAND CLEANING

    The organizer will arrange the general cleaning of the Show premises and stands (excluding exhibits/displays) prior to the opening of the Show and daily thereafter. However it is the responsibility of the exhibitor to keep his stand tidy at all times. Rubbish or discarded materials should be placed in the aisles by the end of each day for an easier removal by cleaners. Packing materials, empty cartons and wooden crates should be disposed properly before the Show opens each day.

4. POWER SUPPLY

    Electrical wiring should be safe enough to avoid accident when viewers get in touch with them carelessly and unintentionally. Electricity will be shut off after the closing of the Show everyday. However, 24-hour power supply could be provided upon request and at the cost of the exhibitor. During the move-out period, temporary electricity supply could be arranged upon request and the application should be made to the organizer at least 24 hours in advance.

5. COMPRESSED AIR AND INDUSTRIAL GAS

    Compressed air will be supplied in the exhibition hall at exhibitors’ cost upon request. Use of industrial gas of inflammable or toxic nature for demonstration purpose is not permitted within the exhibition site.

6. OPERATION OF EXHIBITS FOR DEMONSTRATION

    Machine and/or instruments for demonstration should be operated under strict safety conditions. All moving parts should be well guarded against any injury to visitors. Exhibitors are advised to bar the exhibits from the reach of visitors. Noise should be kept

    at an acceptable level, which is at the organizer's judgment. In case of complaints raised from visitors or other exhibitors, the organizers reserve the right to impose limitation on the operation of the concerned exhibits.

7. DISTRIBUTION OF LITERATURE, SAMPLES, SOUVENIRS ETC.

    Samples, souvenirs, shopping bags, catalogue, pamphlets, etc., can only be distributed within the exhibitor’s stand. Adhesive-backed, pressure-sensitive stickers and labels

    should not be distributed in the exhibition hall.

8. OBSTRUCTION OF AISLES OR NEARBY BOOTHS

    Any demonstration, live performance and other activities, which result in obstruction of aisles or difficult access to a neighboring booth, shall be suspended by the organizer at its discretion.

9. REGISTRATION OF EXHIBITOR

    Registration of exhibitors will be carried out at the Service Counter on the right side of the main entrance of the exhibition hall where each exhibitor will be issued the entrance permit badge. The Registration Office will also serve as an Information Desk where enable your stay at the Show easy and enjoyable.

10. ADMISSIONS AND IDENTIFICATION

    Admissions of exhibitor’s representatives and visitors to the exhibition hall shall be at all times controlled solely by the organizer. Exhibitor’s representatives shall wear identifying badges provided by the organizer throughout the show time (daily opening hours, move-in and move-out period).

11. ADMISSION DURING NON-SHOW HOURS

    Exhibitor’s representatives are generally not permitted to enter the exhibition hall half an hour earlier than the scheduled opening time of the Show each day. Representatives who require earlier entrance should ask for special permission from the organizer on the previous day. Exhibitor’s representatives are generally not permitted to stay in the exhibition hall after the scheduled closing time unless they have special permission from the organizer.

12. SECURITY

    The organizers will maintain security surveillance at all times throughout the exhibition period. Exhibitors at the same time should make sure that their stand(s), especially personal property, portable and rented items are not left unattended at any time during the Show until they have been removed or collected by the proper suppliers.

13. INSURANCE, LIABILITY AND RISKS

    All exhibitors shall insure, indemnify and hold the organizer and the venue owner harmless in respect of all costs, claims, demands and expenses for incidents incurred by staff or agent of the exhibitor upon any person or things at the venue. Booths and other facilities rented from the booth contractor or Shanghai International Exhibition Center should be returned in good form and the exhibitor shall be responsible for any damages incurred during the period of use. The organizers will not be responsible for any theft or loss of exhibits. Exhibitors are strongly advised to insure their exhibits or other valuable properties placed at the Show venue.

    There will be a free catalogue entry for each exhibitor in the Official Catalogue. Companies sharing a stand are also entitled to have a free entry. Please photocopy this form for each company requiring a catalogue entry.

    Content of the entry will be a short description of products and services and a short list of exhibits, 300 Chinese characters or 150 English words altogether. Please do provide the Chinese version, otherwise, translation will be made free of charge but the organizer will not be responsible for any inaccurate translation.
