    November, Board of Education Meeting: The BOE meeting will not be held on November 9, 2009 as stated on the November calendar in the Newsletter. Instead the meeting will be held on

    November 16, 2009 at Filley.

Sub District Volleyball: Seedings for the sub-district volleyball tournament will be released on

    Thursday, October 29. Freeman’s sub-district will be November 2 & 3 at Wilbur-Clatonia. The schools involved in Freeman’s sub-distrcit are: Dorchester, Diller-Odell, Freeman, Pawnee City & Lewiston.

Football Playoffs: Freeman vs Shelby; 5:30 pm on Thursday, October 29 at Shelby.

    The field is located next to the high school. Turn north on the main street (Walnut Street) and

    continue north until you reach the school. Freeman will use the stands on the south side of the field.

    Admission: $7.00 for adults; $5.00 for students

     Friday: Hamburger

    Drug Free Week, October 26-30, 2009. S.A.D.D. is sponsoring dress up days in support of staying drug free. All students are encouraged to participate.

    Thursday: Team up against drugs (wear your favorite team jersey or t-shirt)

    Friday: High School- Wear Red Day

    Elementary- Hocus Pocus (wear Halloween costumes during allowable time in

    classroom)

Students & Staff: This week Freeman will be hosting the Pioneer Conference Volleyball

    Tournament. Please be courteous to the other teams and help us to showcase our school by keeping it

    as clean as possible. ****Note**** Anything that is not picked up in the girls locker rooms and the

    old boys locker room will be considered “Lost” and will be put in the “Lost & Found.”

Order forms for class photos and 2010 yearbooks were distributed. Please note the deadlines that

    orders are due. If any student does not receive a form, please see Mrs. Wolff.

Yearbooks: There are 2009 yearbooks available for sale at $38 each. Contact Mrs. Wolff if you

    want to purchase one.

    Attention Seniors: Scholarships have been posted on the school’s webpage. Look for the Guidance Scholarship link. Don’t forget to check for new additions every now and then.

College Rep’s: thMidland Lutheran will be here November 17 at 2:30

    If you wish to attend, sign up in advance (sign-up sheets are located on the bulletin board next to the

    high school office). Have your teacher for that hour sign the activity pass and bring the pass with

    you to the college visit. If you do not have a signed activity pass you will be asked to return to

    class. Students will be called when representative arrives.
