    --Sell our new Apparel items

--Throw some of the old shirts and hats into the crowd

    --Face painting

--have some of the High School baseball players help out with umping or just mingling

    with the people

--A Dunk Tank to have the coaches go into after each game is completed

--Some carnival type games were also suggested

NOTE: We are looking for a 3 person sling shot to do the shirts and hats at the creek field.

Mark also asked for ideas on who to get to throw out the first pitches. Some suggestions

    were:

--Tom Creighton, Cylo, Obie the Clown, Tom Herr, Von Hayes and Jason Thompson

We will have the concession stand open for Opening Day

FUNDRAISING

It was decided that Auntie Annes would be our fundraiser this year. We will be handing

everything out for the sale to be conducted the month of May. We are also looking for a

volunteer to head this project. Anyone interested, please contact Mark Zunich via

    info@mcllpa.com. COMMUNITY DAYS

Doug Dart is heading up the Community Days. He will be attending a meeting next week

(week of 1/11/09) to get all of the details. At this point, we are going to have the slushy

machine for community days again. We are also looking into the possibility of selling

soft pretzels if we are able to have some way to keep them warm.

T-SHIRTS AND APPAREL

We had samples of the new designs for t-shirts and sweatshirts for 2009. Everyone will

get order forms e-mailed to them by Mark Zunich some time in March. There will be new

design hats-$12, t-shirts-$10, sweatshirts, hoodies, warm-up jackets will be the same as

last year and at the same prices and we will have a vinyl cling this year as well. Please

support us by purchasing our MCLLPA Apparel!

We are still taking votes for the new saying on the back of the t-shirts

and sweatshirts. We’d like for all of you to help. The sayings are

below….please choose the one you would like best @ www.mcllpa.com.

    1. NO DREAMER IS EVER TOO SMALL; NO DREAM IS EVER TOO BIG.

    2. IT TAKES PITCHING, HITTING AND DEFENSE. ANY TWO CAN WIN.

    ALL THREE MAKE YOU UNBEATABLE.

    3. SET YOUR GOALS HIGH, AND DON’T STOP TILL YOU GET THERE!

    4. SPORTS DO NOT BUILD CHARCTER. THEY REVEAL IT.

    5. A TROPHY CARRIES DUST. MEMORIES LAST FOREVER.

    6. “DO YOU KNOW WHAT MY FAVORITE PART OF THE GAME IS? THE

    OPPORTUNITY TO PLAY.”

CLINICS

We are looking at have some clinics again in 2009.

Coaches clinics will be held at either the High School Auxiliary Gym with Josh Leik from York Suburban High School on March 7, 2009 from 2:00-7:00 pm. Jenny Root will

be working on getting refreshments and beverages for all in attendance. All coaches are

welcome, but, please respond by the middle of February, so we know a count for the

    refreshments.

Player clinics will be held at the B2B Facility. They will be 4 1 hr. sessions, 2 on the

field and 2 in the instructional area.

Costs will be:

    T-ball = $55.50

Speed & Agility Clinics will be facilitated by Steve Campbell and held at the High

School Auxiliary Gym. They will be $80.00 for 8 1 hr. sessions. This is open to anyone,

    not just Little League players.

Umpire Clinics are another thing that we are looking into. We’d like to get the younger

guys that are umping our games now to a clinic with a noted umpire to help them. We

will pass on information pertaining to these clinics when we get it. IMPORTANT DATES COMING UP IN 2009
