    Uniform Regulations

     2009/2010

    The Immaculata uniform, which is considered a reflection of the school’s value

    system, is accepted by students and parents when children are registered in the

    school. When worn properly, the uniform projects an attitude of pride and readiness

    for learning. It helps students to be neat and clean and eliminates the social and

    economic pressure of keeping up with the latest styles on a daily basis. All students

    in Grades K-8 are expected to wear the entire uniform. Any discrepancies in the

    uniform will be up to the principal’s discretion. Our exclusive uniform supplier is Reeds Uniforms, 123 Sweeten Creek Rd.,

Girls K-5

     ??Immaculata plaid, navy jumpers or

     ??Solid navy blue uniform pants

     ??Solid navy blue walking shorts

     Permitted August October 15 and April 15- June only

     Shorts/jumper length should be 2” from the middle of the knee ?????Solid white blouse with plain collar, white turtleneck, white polo.

     All polos must be embroidered with the Immaculata logo.

All Girls

     ??Solid navy blue or white crew socks or navy blue or white opaque hose may

     be worn. Socks must be worn.

     ??No make-up except clear or pastel nail polish and clear lip gloss

Girls 6-8

     ? Navy or Khaki skirts/skorts.

     ??Solid navy blue or khaki uniform pants

     ??Solid navy blue or khaki walking shorts

     Permitted August October 15 and April 15- June only

     Shorts/skirts/skorts length should be 2” from the middle of the knee ?????Solid white blouse with plain collar, white turtleneck, white, navy or

     cardinal polo.

     All polos must be embroidered with the Immaculata logo.

     (Flag red polos will be phased out effective 2010-11 school year)

     Smaller size purses are permissable for girls to carry

Boys K-5

     polo. All polos must be embroidered with the Immaculata logo.

    All Boys

     ??Solid navy blue or white crew socks are to be worn.

    ??All clothing must be appropriately sized

    ??All uniform shirts must remain tucked in

    ??If pants or shorts have belt loops, a dark, solid-colored belt must be worn

    ??All polo shirts must have the Immaculata School logo embroidered on the

     shirt.

    ??Solid, one color, dark black, dark navy or dark brown colored dress

    shoes

     No high top styles or deep tread soles, boots, sandals, crocs, or platform shoes

     No more that 1” heel and closed toe/ closed heel

    ??Solid navy blue sweater, sweatshirt or uniform fleece jacket. No hoodies

     allowed in the classroom.

    ??Immaculata fleece jackets are acceptable indoors or outdoors

    ??No hats during school time

Accessories

     ??Visible body piercing (except the ear lobe) and visible tattoos are prohibited

     ??Girls may wear small post earrings

     One stud per ear

     ??The following items are permitted: One bracelet or support band, One ring,

     One necklace, and Non-alarm watches

Hair and Appearance

     All students are expected to be neat and clean in appearance. Hair styles must be neat with no extreme styling or coloring. Boys’ hair must be off the collar. Girls’

    hair accessories must be conservative in nature and coordinate with the uniform. No

    bandanas.

PE Uniform- All Students (1-8)

     ??PE Uniforms are gray T-shirts, navy blue gym

     shorts, and athletic shoes.

     ??Socks must be worn

     ??Grades K-8 are to bring PE clothing to school on assigned days and

     will change for PE and return to the school uniform after PE

     ??If there is a medical reason that the uniform regulations cannot be met, please

     bring a note from the doctor.

    Formal Dress Days These days include when we go to church for Mass (plan on every Friday except the

    weeks that include a Holyday) and on special occasions. The administration will

    notify parents in advance when this will occur.

     Girls K-5 Formal: Plaid or Navy Jumper, white shirt, socks.

     Boys K-5 Formal: Blue pants, white shirt

     Girls 6-8 Formal: Blue Skirt, white shirt, socks

     Boys 6-8 Formal: Blue pants, white dress shirt and tie

    Out of Uniform Days A notice will be sent from the office regarding out of uniform days. The students

    will have appropriate, modest clean clothing. Unacceptable clothing includes, but is

    not limited to bare midriffs, spaghetti straps, and low-cut, excessively tight and

    excessively short apparel. Hats, scarves, bandanas, pajama bottoms and ripped

    clothing are unacceptable. The principal makes decisions on acceptable appearance.
