Parent, Driver, Ayi and New Student ID Photos

    All parents (“returning” and “new”) – as well as all new students will have their

    photos taken as part of a new campus-entry ID system that will be implemented later

    in the school year. If your driver and/or ayi enter campus during the school year to

    collect your children, please arrange for them to come for ID photos as well.

    Check out The Phoenix Shop, Concordia’s parent-run “spirit store!” Named after

    Concordia’s mascot, the phoenix, The Phoenix Shop sells a wide variety of fun and creative Concordia-themed items.

New Student Orientation: Elementary School Students

    You are welcome to come at any time during this three-hour period. 9:30 There is not a set program. Please go through the self-directed orientation, a.m. starting at Stop ES1 below. to 12:30 Please bring RMB800 in RMB cash per child to purchase uniform tops and optional p.m. lunch cards (RMB500 estimate for uniform pieces; RMB300 for the lunch card). We do not

    accept credit cards.

     Stop ES1: Check-In (Parent and Student)

    ? Submit any documents necessary to complete your child’s files (if not already submitted).

It is very helpful if you can submit any or all of these documents as soon as possible, prior to New

     Stop ES5: Lunch Cards

    Location: Elementary School Commons (Also known as the E-Commons.)

    Note: Eurest representatives will be available to help with lunch cards all day (8 a.m. to 4 p.m.) in the

    Elementary Commons.

    ? Our school lunch vendor is Eurest.

    ? RMB300 for each child (we do not accept credit cards)

    ? Each card is pre-loaded with RMB300 in credit (about 11 meals).

    ? The standard school lunch is RMB27.

    ? Funds are deducted only on days students eat a school lunch.

    ? Fully refundable if students decide not to have school lunch. Elementary School students can

    also pre-order cold sack lunches, which include a sandwich, beverage and dessert or fruit.

    (Sack lunches must be ordered one day in advance.)

     Stop ES6: Bus Schedule and/or Fee-Related Questions

    ? Bus Schedule: If your child is riding the school bus this school year, confirm your child’s pick-

    up/drop-off details here with busing coordinator Ms. Melody Chen. You can also contact

    Melody (melodyc@ciss.com.cn) with busing requests and/or questions prior to orientation.

    Please note that we require your home address and up to two weeks to arrange daily bus

    transportation to and from school. The fee for using school transportation is an additional

    RMB10,000 per school year per child. Should you request busing at New Student Orientation,

    we may be unable to accommodate this request for up to two weeks.

    ? Accounting: Ms. Iris Ye and other members of our accounting team will be available to answer
