NASSCOM CNBC TV18 IT User Awards 2009
The IT User Awards were instituted by NASSCOM in 2003, to recognize enterprises across verticals which have implemented projects demonstrating benefits of IT to the enterprise, thereby leading the wave of IT adoption in India.
Today, after half a decade of its existence, the IT User Award has emerged as one of the most coveted awards for user organizations in India. The award was designed as an integral part of NASSCOM’s Domestic IT Market Initiative and the objective was to
provide a platform for organizations among shortlisted verticals that are using IT to deliver high business value to their customers.
This year’s NASSCOM - CNBC TV18 IT User Awards will recognize organizations that have used IT to improve their efficiency and competitiveness in face of the global economic slowdown. The award will showcase technology initiatives of the enterprises which have helped in reducing costs, optimizing business processes, while creating competitive advantage and having a positive impact on its stakeholders.
Why Should You Participate?
The NASSCOM – CNBC TV18 Awards are an acknowledged mark of recognizing
enterprise excellence through adoption of Technology. Because the award is given to companies rather than individuals, it’s an honor for your staff. Executives from awarded
companies will be recognized among their peers and colleagues at a televised ceremony in October 2009.
The awards honorees are chosen by a combination of extensive research and an expert jury team, based sorely on the information submitted in this nomination template. Each
entry will be judged based on how it compares to all other entries submitted. Honorees are not ranked.
Note: The award is not in recognition of a singular IT project, but it evaluates an IT initiative (can be multiple sub-projects) that meet a specific challenge.
A) After an applicant emails the completed nomination sheet to Nielsen, the
nominations would go through rigorous phases of evaluation.
B) Each nomination will be evaluated through exhaustive quantitative as well as
qualitative sets of analysis based on pre-defined parameters
C) Top 3 scorers in each vertical would be identified after first phase

of the top 3 scoring enterprises to try and understand the finer nuances of the IT
implementation strategy of the enterprise
E) Write-ups on individual implementations from top 3 scorers would be shared with
the jury panel (appointed by Nasscom) for the final round of evaluation, for them
to decide the winner.
