     Note: each class above requires minimum of 8 students, except Dancing Class A, which requires 5+. For any

    class which does not meet the minimum enrollment, SCS will either merge them into a related class, or cancel the

    class with the full refund.

    Mandatory Documents From Parents

?

    The registration is considered to be completed only if the parent signed the Liability Form along

    with the registration form and the tuition payment. In other words, the students cannot attend the

    class without your signature on the Liability Form.

    Like other Chinese schools in Boston area, it is mandatory for each family to sign up at least

    one time-slot per semester for either hall way supervision or being the room-parent. If you

    cannot fulfill this duty, you will pay $20 extra.

    Tuitions

    Like other Chinese schools in Boston area, the tuition is charged on the semester (16 weeks) basis, and requires to be paid

    along with your registration.

    o $160 for any 1 ?-hours course designed for children

    o $130 any class designed for Adults.

    o For the families who have ONE student registered, the registration fee is $5.00.

    o For the families who have TWO or more students registered, SCS will waive the registration fee.

    Return Policy

    $20.00 fee will be charged for each bounced check.

    For any cancellation/withdrawing, a $5.00 of processing fee will be charged, in addition to the vested

    tuitions.

    o 100% refund if withdrawing before class begins ($5 processing fee will be charged only);

    o 75% refund if withdrawing 1 school day the class started;

    o 50% refund if withdrawing 2 school days after the class started;

    o 25% refund if withdrawing 3 school days after class started;

    o There is no refund after class started for 4 school days.

     Course Description

? Chinese For Pre K - K:

    o Pre-requirement: Age 4 5. No Chinese background is required

    o Description:

    This course will focus on the speaking, such as tones and sentence structure on the daily conversation. The

    teacher will conduct the practice with different group games and activities. The student will also learn certain

    reading skill.

? Chinese For Grade K - 1:

    o Pre-requirement: Age 5 6. No Chinese background is required

    o Description:

    This course will focus on the speaking, such as tones and sentence structure on the daily conversation. The

    student will build the reading via Children’s poems and simple stories. They will also learn writing Chinese

    words by tracing. The objection is to master 40+ words.

? Chinese For Grade 1 - 2:

    o Pre-requirement: Age 6 7. Finished Chinese For Grade K 1 or is able to recognize 100

    character and to write 20 characters. Being able to understand Chinese as teacher speaks.

    o Description:

    This course is the beginning level of reading and writing. Speaking is also part of the curriculum. The writing

    strokes and sequence will be introduced and re-enforced throughout the school year. PinYin might be

    introduced debased on the student’s ability of differiation between PinYin and English. The objection is to

    master 140+ new words.

    o Pre-requirement: Age 7 and up. Has Finished the entire text book of : < I>

    These classes are designed for the elementary students who are the non-mandarin speaking families to develop

? Playgroup:(3-5 years old)

    The purpose of this curriculum is letting the children learn knowledge by playing games. Also, we will make the

    children have a pleasant experience and great feeling of achievement.

    ? Classic Chinese Dancing

    This class will teach the basic skills such as steps and postures of Chinese traditional dance.

    素养和舞蹈鉴赏力,陶冶情操,为培养儿童少年情操起到潜移默化的作用).

    o Beginning: age 5 7

    ? (Bilingual teaching):

    o Beginning: age 5 7: Children can develop their creativity and motion cooperation by drawing and cutting. This course will

    focus on building up the interests with arts via teaching the young kids how to draw, cut, and paste. Material: scissors, color

    pencils, glue sticker, crayon, drawing paper.

    o Arts and Crafts (绘画工艺): age 7-9

    o Sketch: Age 7-13

    ? GO (围棋)For Beginners (Age 7+)

    This course will start with teaching the rules and basic strategy of GO game. Then the student will play with their

    peers and discuss the good/bad strategy. It is the fun class for any school-age students who would like to learn Chess.

    ? Martial Arts for Beginners (Age 6+)

    The objective of Kung Fu training is to promote the study of the traditional Chinese Martial arts and the development

    of the physical, mental, and general well being of the students. The class will feature the Traditional Wah Lum

    Northern Praying Mantis Kung Fu, which includes Hand forms, Traditional Kung Fu exercises, Balance and flexibility

    Training, Two person forms and exercises, and History and theory of traditional Kung Fu. Advanced students will also

    learn weapons forms and self-defense and practical application.

? Chinese Dancing with Martial Arts Style (Age 8+)

    This class gives students the opportunity to gain knowledge and appreciation for Chinese culture through a mixture of

    Chinese dancing, martial arts and acrobatics.
