UW-Platteville seeks qualified candidates to fill the position of Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach and
Admissions Advisor. Position description, qualifications, and application process is listed below.

Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach/Admissions Adviser
Will serve as assistant coach in the men’s basketball program. Duties include, but are not limited to,
coaching, recruiting qualified student athletes including use of recruiting software, fund raising, camp
operations, scouting, film breakdown, game film exchange and associated softwares, developing
community support for the program, monitoring academic progress of student-athletes and other duties
as assigned by the Head Coach. Must have experience with the Swing Offense. Will also serve as an
Admissions Advisor responsible for identifying and recruiting students to the university working as a
member of the Admissions staff. Significant travel required. Must have the ability to work closely with
high school students, parents, school counselors and campus academic departments and support
Applications Deadline – June 21, 2010 Qualifications: Bachelors degree required, Masters preferred. Minimum of 3 years of coaching
experience on the collegiate level required with same level of experience coaching the swing
offense. At least one year experience as an Admissions Adviser or demonstrated transferable skills or
work experience to support the function of the Admissions Office operations.
Candidates must have the ability to manage multiple tasks. Excellent written and oral skills, knowledge
of computer applications and software packages such as recruiting, scouting and film editing/exchange
systems, organizational abilities, event planning, camp operations and project management, fund
raising and recruiting ability. Demonstrated commitment to or experience working with diverse
populations. Must be able to work weekends/evenings and travel.
Employment will require a criminal background check.
Starting Date: August, 2010.
Salary: Commensurate with Experience
