     这节课主要学习一些描述人物外貌特征的新词汇,以及学习如何询问和回答有关人物外表的句

    型。并且在这一课时学生要掌握在描述外表时什么时候用is 什么时候用has. 三、Teaching Objectives:

     1. The Language Skills Objectives:

     ? By the end of the lesson Ss can ask and answer about ones appearance, including

    ones hair, height and build.

     ? By the end of the lesson Ss can master when to use isand when to use has

    and can apply them correctly in exercises.

     ? By the end of the lesson Ss know the rules how to put a cluster of adjectives together

    in the correct order to describe ones hair. (漂亮+长短+形状+颜色+hair) 2. The Language Knowledge Objectives:

     ? Ss get to learn some new words about ones appearance, such as , hair , curly,

    straight, log, short, tall, medium, height, thin, heavy, build, look like, person,

    blond, brown and so on.

     ? Ss get to learn the key sentences on asking and answering about ones appearance,

    like, What do you look like? What does he look like? He has short straight black

    hair. He is tall/ of medium height/ short. He is thin/ of medium build/ heavy.

    3. The Important pointes:

     ? Ss master the rules of putting a cluster of adjectives in the correct order to

    describe ones hair.

     ? Ss can master the wordshair, tall, height, thin, heavy, build, brown.

     ? Ss can master the key sentences.

     4. The Difficult pointes

     ? Ss can apply the rule of putting the adjectives in the correct order to the exercises

    correctly.

     ? Ss can remember clearly when to use is and when to use has

     ? Ss remember to add ofbefore medium height / build.

     Teaching Procedures:

    Step 1---Guessing game

     In the first step I will let Ss guess who my friend is. I will give

them some clues:

    He is very smart.

    He is very smart.

    He was tall and now he is short. He is a detective () from Japan. -------Ke Nan. In this way I lead into the topic of this unit ---to describe ones appearance. Step 2----Presentation In this step new knowledge will be presented---to describe ones hair.

     A: What does he / she look like?

     Long curly black hair/ short ,curly, red hair/ long, straight, blond hair. Step 3---Practice In this step Ss will have a practice of using a cluster of

    adjectives to describe hair. Then Ss will design a new look for themselves.

     Step 4---Sum up In this step Ss will sum up the rule of putting a cluster of adjectives in a correct order. Then they will do some relative exercises to consolidate it.

     In this step Ss will learn how to describe ones height and build.

    Step 61a 1a

     In this step Ss will finish the exercise in 1a, to match the pictures with the words. Then check the answers.

Step 7---Listening

     In this step Ss will do the listening exercise in 2a and 2b. First 2a&2b

    Ss will listen and circle is or has . After checking the answers

    Ss will be asked to sum up when to use is and when to use is has. has.

     Step 8---Pairwork

     In this step Ss will do pairwork. They ask and answer about

    the people appearances in the pictures: A: What does he / she look like? B: He/ She is / has

     In this step Ss will say something about the appearance of one

    of the classmates and ask the others to guess who she / he is. But

    first of all I will ask Ss to guess who he is by giving some clues.

反思:这节课的步骤还是很清晰的,环节也是围绕着主题,环环相扣。内容呈现的比较清晰。重

    难点也有所突破。但是还是存在着一些不足,比如,在height build 方面,我只强调了of medium height /build而忽略了学生连height build 也有可能混淆。
