    2006 Specialty Feb. 11 & 12

The following are the results of the 2006 Specialty. We have not yet received the comments from

Ms.Yoxall as she was ill after the specialty.

     PIEDMONT 2006- DOGS

I was delighted to be asked back again to judge, with a wonderful welcome from exhibitors and superb hospitality from the club. It is always a pleasure to judge such a high standard of dogs, many worthy dogs went unplaced due to the high entry.BOB was such a pleasure with such lovely dogs to go over. There are some super youngsters which made my judging even more enjoyable, I looked for well made heads with gentle expression, overall balance, angulation, & driving action.

PUPPY DOGS 6-9 MONTHS (BLACK)

    1ST LEWIS'S Shalane's Fly by Knight

Well made youngster, with good depth of chest and spring of rib, correct head for the age, good eye and well placed shoulders, straight topline, and tailset, good coat, and moved steady

2ND BOWRON'S Fortune's Curious George

Good showman with ring presence, strong and firm over quarters, alert expression, good quarters and hocks, covered the ground well.

3rd HARPE'S O'Henry of Bear's Den

4th RICHARDSON'S Twin Maples Late Night Star

PUPPY DOGS 6-9 MONTHS (AOC)

What a lovely baby, first time out, super confirmation and well balanced throughout, correct angulation for his age, lovely well made head with gentle expression, in good thick coat, well boned and correct otter tail, moved steady when he got going

2nd MISCHOU'S Caer Bren's Ben

Pressed hard for first place, super outline and well balanced, double coat and good bone, lovely kind eye, on correctly moulded head, clean reach of neck and good shoulders, just

needed to up his pace a little on the move

3rd BELL'S Borador's Red Rover Red Rover

    4th ISANHATH AND HOLDING'S Dovetail's Cracker Jack

PUPPY DOGS 9-12 MONTHS (BLACK)

    1ST Daniel's Mar-Moye Low County Gullah

Lovely black and just my type, split hairs with second place, biddable expression, lovely clean neck, and well placed shoulders, correct topline, and tail set, in good double coat, balanced throughout and clean in outline, good driving action going around the ring

2nd CREAMER AND HEIDL'S Tabatha's Blast at Belquest

Loved this boy as well, again just my type, and pushed hard for ist place, just felt he needed to

make more of himself on the move, gave a balanced picture when standing, handled and shown

to perfection, typical type from this breeders kennel

3rd KOFRON'S Valleywood Rainmaker

PUPPY DOGS 9-12 (AOC)

    1ST CREAMER'S Belquest Bahama Breeze

PUPPY DOG, BEST PUPPY IN SHOW RESERVE, WINNERS DOG

have liked to take home - this was it, good luck with him I am sure he has a super future in

     years to come

    .

2nd REICH'S Wilcare Leisure Suit Larry

Big Thanks From Stacy and Amy!!

Just wanted to thank EVERYONE for their generous donations towards making the raffle a successful fund

raiser for the club once again this year. We had some lovely items, but it was particularly special to have

items from Marleigh Knapp’s collection to add to our raffle table. We always hear the comments from

exhibitors that we have one of the best Specialty raffles, and this year was no exception. Many thanks to

Mike and Sharon LeBard and Deborah Thomas for helping us work the raffle table. Your time and

camaraderie are invaluable. And a big thanks to Buzz Gibson for taking care of the little things that had to

be done to make the raffle a success.
