     1. CMSimple

     1.1. Discription

Before you begin please ensure you have Internet connection and a computer with XP or Vista these are necessary equipment required to amend the website.

The WYSIWYG editor is supported by IE on Win, and Mozilla on Linux, Win and MacOS.

CMSimple is a simple content management system; for the smart maintenance of small commercial or private sites.

1.2. Advantages

CMSimple is small, easy to install and modify. The site is stored in a HTML-file.

Only takes a couple of minutes to download and install the entire product.

    No database is required.

You edit your site with your favourite editor.

Upload the content file and get a dynamic website.

You can log in and change the site whenever you like.

There is an integrated online What-You-See-Is-What-You-Get (WYSIWYG) editor with link validation, image handling, online editing of system files and an automatic backup on logout.

It is free (you must keep the link to CMSimple on the front page or you can register for a fee to receive permission to remove it). Server requires PHP. PHP is free and downloadable from

http://www.php.net/downloads.php. To install PHP on a webserver, you

    must have administrator rights.

CMSimple runs on a Linux server under Apache, or on Win32 under Apache or IIS. It also runs on Abyss. No database is needed as the

2. Website constraints

AGPL 3

Each page generated must display a link to the CMSimple Legal Notices. The link must be readable, visible and the text link must not be altered.

You must read and agree to the CMSimple Legal Notices before you

    download CMSimple.

CMSimple is recommended for sites with text contents less than 2 MB - This is about 1000 pages of text (about 2,000 characters per page). There is no maximum size to the site but speed will become an issue. Photographs are stored separately; there is no limit to the number of photographs you can use.

You are only restricted by the capacity you have bought from your ISP, and by limitations imposed by your PHP settings.
